Well it wouldn't be my car build if there weren't any more delays. So this one is trying to get the fuel filler pipe to go through the chasis to avoid protruding into the boot. the bends required are quite tight making it difficult for the mandrel bender to bend them enough. If that does't work, then it will mean a small section of pipe will need to go through the corner of the boot - not a big deal in my books. So maybe a start this Sunday
Dan, hats off to you, you must have the patience of a saint.
I could not have kept my cool through all of what you have put up with.
Good morning
A major milestone was reached yesterday afternoon - fuel into the fuel tank. There are some ECU mods to be done hopefully today which would allow for an engine fire up tomorrow
Engine fire up is now locked in for Thursday
Fingers crossed it’s this Thursday
Red Hot M6 VE SS Ute. Curves yes please on my women and my road.
Great news!!! - The car was fired up yesterday. OMG the sound is nuts. I'm so happy with it.
There are a few more items to sort out before going on the dyno.
Great stuff Dan!![]()
Here is a video of the first start up
Looks & sounds fantastic Dan.
I like that it is not over loud & the cam does not sound too stupid choppy for the street,
I was expecting it to sound way more angry.
Looking forward to hearing about your dyno results next.
I also like the tow bar on there.![]()
That sounds pretty tough.
Do you have any idea what sort of power you are hoping for (ATW).
Hi Ed - thank you very much.
I thought it sounded pretty angry although the bi-modal exhaust was open and Terry said it will quieten down further following the dyno tune
Will share the dyno results when available.
I had the tow bar for my ski boat. I sold it to help pay for the car build
