    Which one would you pick?

My pick would be the HT Monaro.
    yep.. 'coz I am biased!
I had one a platinum silver HT GTS350 manual (big tank jobbie).. have a long cry when i see a nice version of this these days!

But I do have a story on that others... I learnt to drive (side handbrake and all) in the family HQ
Not a GTS but a humble Kingswood, push button radio, bench seat and 3 on the tree

I drove it around the block at Brighton police station while Mum waved my birth certificate at the station seargeant
and parked it where I was asked.. next to his station police vehicle. I did that without hitting anything and was handed
a PAPER licence when i walked back in . WOOT!

And the A9X.. a few years after starting with GM Holden at Port Melbourne being inducted and learning all about
'Mechanical Production' of vehicle parts, i was sent to Dandenong VAP to learn about vehicle assembly production.
My first job there was in 'Traffic' .. ticking off the PSNs of the A9Xs going out the gate to Patterson Cheney at Ringwood
to have the falres and spoliers (and other A9X bits added or deleted)

I also had to check them back in before they were given final QA on site (rectified as needed) and sent to the select dealers getting them

HT Monaro for sure. I love the original shape Monaro. HK especially. Surely most would agree it's amongst the best looking cars to ever come out of Australia. It must have been quite the experience in the late 60s!

Well, we did own an A9X sedan in the early 80s, but yes, I would've liked a 350Coupe,....I can remember when there was a blue 350 HT Coupe for sale,...a really nice low mileage car, the owner wanted $25K!!.....how times have changed. One has to be careful what one buys these days,....many years ago we attended a few Monaro Nationals with our CV8 S111, & VZ GTO. Anyway, I was looking at this IMMACULATE super original (to me) HQ350 GTS Auto Coupe,..it was simply awesome,...I happened to be standing next to the then Victorian President, who simply said,...yes, it'd be good,..... if it was genuine!....

Funnily enough, we did consider buying a '58 Cadillac Series 62 convertible many years ago,...even investigated getting the garage extended to store it. We even drove it,..lots of people waved to us!!, it was a pretty impressive vehicle,....But sanity prevailed, it was in need of some serious work, so we gave it a miss,.....still, there is something special about a classic Caddy. Apparently Eldorados like this monster are becoming quite sought after in the States.

A mate of mine has a 1979, it has a 350 petrol engine, (front wheel drive)
it is a large car, (but not as big as many of the 4WD's so many women operate these days,)
very comfortable with very soft luxuriously padded leather seats & it's very easy to cruise around.
