    Sureflo Exhaust - Ballistic Cats

The car I bought from former mod here Senator Mike was already blown (HTV1900) with full KPM SLC exhaust inc Pacemaker 1¾" 4-1 and whatever cats they used which I'm sure were 200cpsi. I've changed the exhaust to Manta/DPE 3" bimodal but the cats have been on for 15 years now so I figured time to upgrade.

I had a pair of 100cpsi Ballistic cats on my SSV sedan as part of an ls1 forum group buy in 2007 and wanted to get more but the b*astards won't reply to my emails. As those who know me are aware I can't ring as lost my speech years ago to a rare form of MND.

Could I ask someone who knows me to ring them for me on (02) 9829 3185 and ask them to check their junk folder for emails from covo at melbpc.org.au ? Once done reply here so they don't get heaps of calls.

If they can't find any of my previous emails can you please ask them to email me with current prices? Thank you!

Sorry Gary, I only just noticed this thread otherwise I would have replied sooner.

Greg is no longer running Sureflo Exhausts AFAIK.

I believe he has now retired.

I personally would leave the cats on there alone unless you have reason to believe they have failed,

mine would be the same age & still look new. (I have 300cpi "American Racing" cats.)

Yeah, knew Greg had retired thanks Ed. Just have a bit of spare money after selling the old exhaust.

I was mainly interested in pricing which isn't on the website.

Hey Gary, your cats would not likely have done many kms in the time & I am sure if they were no good you would have noticed symptoms such as
noises, strange running & engine light coming on.

I honestly would not bother with Sureflow these days since Greg left it is not the same.

If I was looking to change the cats today I would buy a set sold by the header manufacturer
which they make to suit the normal placement of a cat back on the particular car,
something like one of these listed here on ebay as an example..... https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_...023.m570.l1313

I would also replace the O2 sensors at the same time then just get whoever services the car to fit them.

Re: Sureflo Exhaust - Ballistic Cats

I still have the ballistic cats oh my Monaro from the group buy back then. I tried to speak to the new owner of Sureflow about purchasing their extractors via email a while back. No dice. I called them, the new owner wasn't much help there either. He just wanted me to bring my car there before discussing anything, despite me being no where near Campbeltown. I just decided it wasn't meant to be.
