    Hybrid Battery Problems / Costs

    Replacing the batteries on those electric things hurts.

    I think I will be staying with internal combustion engines for awhile yet.

    I have heard the resale value of these things hurts as well.

    I think the trick/ benefit of evs is to novate lease it and then give it back/upgrade at the end of the term.

    Then you have a guaranteed value.

    I also think there is a massive improvement in technology from 2014 to now 10 years later.

    Personally my ev has a 8 year guarantee against the battery.

    This not too different to solar and inverter on houses. Early adopters are now having to replace expensive parts to ensure their system is still operational.
