Is the blower 8 or 10 PSI ?

    Well done mate
I'm pretty sure it's 8psi, you can get an underdrive pully to wind it to 10psi but voids harrop warranty, probably do that later down the track, for now i'm in love, and the missus is jealeaous! Na gotta thank her she's been pretty cool with it.

Yeah that was the old boy, he loves it had his first drive today, said he did his back in.
He also hinted there could be a HH122 finding its way onto his Coupe4 after warranty has expired!

Thanks for all your comments guys.

Make sure you get the right heads if you're going FI.

Fantastic, great result. Congratulations. I'm very keen on the Harrop set up for my VXSS so this thread has been of great interest to me and will file this as a reference.

This thread has been one of the best, very informative, especially the vids. G&D has done a great job, a credit to them.

Mate, what effect has your mods had on fuel consumption? The reason I ask is if and when I'm ready I'll probably follow the same path as yours however will be a daily driver, city driving mostly. I'm not one to keep it a weekend warrior, and only when the weather's right like a couple of my mates, not that there's anything wrong with it. Love driving my car for whatever reason.

At the moment, I'm slowly (finance pending) building the car up to handle the power. It already has Harrop brakes, 3.9 diff, Textralia clutch t/f, there's more but this is your thread.

Your car looks pristine, very clean and simplistic, you've done well. I'm very curious about the mod you've done on the ' Custom Plastic welded front to suit VY Chev grille', looks great. How and who did this for you?

Once again congratualtions and enjoy (Lucky bugger!)

AJR-01, typical reports from customers state that fuel economy results have improved, you would be amazed at what can be achived power wise without adversly effecting your wallet at the bowser, 50% of it has to do with the combination and the other 50% the tune. One of our customers has a VX R8 we added our FI-1 camshaft and the Harrop 112 s/c it made very good power as can be imagined yet he states it gets way better ecomony than his stock standard VY SS work ute.

Your right in what you said about Trents ute, it is imaculate.

    Thanks mate,

Fuel consumption isn't too bad at all, normal driving would be the same, highway driving is better, i guess with the torque now hills and rises dont make the engine work harder. When i left G&D i filled it up at cranbourne with 98 Ultimate and drove to the boat, then drove from Devonport, Launceston then Hobart and pretty sure the trip was about 420km after that i had a bit over an eighth of a tank but i was also testing the throttlea little on the way back, nothing stupid.

But obviously when your nailing it a bit it will use a litte more, but i drive this mainly on weekends so the fuel issue doesn't bother me plus I also Have an '04 Turbo Diesel Nissan Navara 4x4 work bus that can do 1000km on a tank.

I was really pleased the way the grille turned out, it was done the same time as the VZ bonnet (genuine) about 18 months ago by probably the biggest Bodyworks in southern tas, Wells Bodyworks they also operate out of the gold coast now as Wells smash repairs.
They have all the trick gear there and tony who did the plastic welding is a magician, it looks factory. What they did was basically cut the original VU SS bar, weld a cut out piece of a VY bar/grille into the gap, smooth it and repaint the bar and i supplied them with the VY Chev grille from Emtech.

    Cheers, Trent.

Insurance is generally cheaper in Tassie for a start, and he's 6 years older than you and rating one!
