Hosed by a Typhoon! 3 times!!

Well, I have to give credit where credit is due. Missus and I were driving up to Toowoomba on Saturday afternoon when we passed a F6 Typhoon going 10 kays below the 100km/h speed limit. We pased him doing about 110km and I thought " what a tosser, driving like a poser".

Next thing he catches up and its on....he had 1/2 a car jump on me and it stretched out to 2 car legnths before I hit the anchors and see the look on my wifes' face I look down and notice the a/c is on and thought that may have been the problem. Again, he is doing 90 and we catch up.

This time I get 1 car jump on him but by the time I need fourth, the F6 is 1 car legnth ahead.

When we got up the range i just happened to be going in the same direction as this guy for about 5 minutes when we hit a set of lights. 2 lanes go to 1 in about 60 metres and all I can say is F*&K the F6 is quick!

Haha, exactly... too many fools have written off F6 as slower "big" brother of the Ford's turbo range, well guess again.

I forgot to mention I was in a VY2 Clubsport. I have no mods although I'm thinking seriously about it now.

What particulary cheeses me off is the drag off the line. I got a really good start with no wheelspin and he just nailed it passed me. I think he had an auto because when I changed gear, thats when i lost out big time.

I need to make subtle mods as my wife thinks this whole Ford Vs Holden thing is for kids.

I guess you'll never know but as you are stock you didn't get beaten by much compared to what guys with edit and exhaust would beat you by so no need to worry. You will win some and lose some but aslong as you enjoy yourself that's what matters.

Its funny when you seem many guys bag the heck out of autos and some praise them to go quicker (in straight line), what will it be?

I'd be more than willing to have a crack at it should the opportunity arise and I would be happy to write the result on here win or lose. I am quietly confident though after seeing my fair share of modded XR6Ts at the strip and I'd say the guys with bigger cams could sleep very soundly.
