XR8 Bonnet Scoop On My CV8

Im thinking of putting on an Xr8 bonnet scoop on my monaro, with the side parts of it black..whats your opinions? ive been told by some itll look great and others it a bit w*nk.

Good question. Depending on whom you ask, many think the VZ Monaro bonnet looks a bit wank as well. Personally, I prefer the smoother look without anything, but the Monaro body shape suits that look.

Not sure if you're thinking the same, but dynomotive has an xr8 bulge on their ute for cosmetic purposes.

Its a Holden Monaro not a FORD XR8 Sedan. If you like the bonnet so much go and buy Ford then.

ive seen XB GT bonnet vents fitted to many other vehicles too so its not too crazy

not so sure it would quite fit the lines of the monaro, but what the hell its your car. be sure to tell those people who start quoting verses from the holden bible to go get stuffed

One word....sacrilege! I can understand the need for a Ford 9" diff in a Holden - but an XR8 bonnet hump is painfull for me to comtemplate. Mate, it's your car and your choice so all the best to ya. I've seen an AU XR6 over here with a BA hump on it and imho it made a bad looking car look worse. Go the bonnet scoops by all means - leave the hump for the Fords.

Plenty of the XR8 bonnet humps running around on commodores, a few of these even have Cooper S scoops.

Its an ideal solution to making room under the bonnet for 8 TB's.

The only place for a holden bulge is in your pants. Not really a nostril fan either, only on the CV8.

If I were to modify my bonnet I would get a custom low profile scoop, not over the top, just subtle and sexy.

I don't know why people carry on as if Ford invented the bonnet bulge, they don't have a patent on it do they? I'm sure the XR8 wasn't the first car in history to have a bonnet bulge either.

Go the bulge looks tough as, I will do mine when $$$ permit or you could put a monaro bonnet on like evey second commodore I see....
PSoes anyone know of other scoops available or that may suit a vy any spoiler shops.

8 throttle bodies would be even better, but i take what i can get!
