Luckiest guy alive - RS6 totalled

    Copied from FAF.

Crazy thing about this is that the driver walked out of the car almost with no injuries and phoned the emergency services himself.
And no it won't buff out. Will need some bogg.

    http://www.rs6.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11342&page=2

What you see is what you get, i.e. there was no cutting of the vehicle prior to the pictures being taken.
It is my brother-in-law that you see holding the mobile phone, he honestly doesn't know the speed that he was going at but wasn't near as fast as he has done in the past on that particular part of the road.

Although the road was completely dry he said that it felt he was on ice and the car just careened into the tree. He actually called the emergency services and climbed out of the car by himself, he spent only a couple of hours in hospital, apart from a few minor scratches he got a bandage around his little finger, I told him if he's not already religious he should take it up ASAP!

The car WAS a pristine RS6 ABT, I was supposed to pick it up that very day to borrow it from him for a week as I've always wanted to try out the ABT version. He really should have simply told me that he didn't want me to drive his car I'm so happy he is alive and all in one piece.

    ====================================

I Would like to offer the remnants of my audi RS6

Looks bad however yet enough parts are still applicable.

Motor is ok, up to a small hole in valve cover, most of the brake parts are new and applicable, transmission and differential are undamaged, 1 x orginal exhaust concern, 1 x orginal push mute (undamaged).

I give no guarantee on the function of these remnants, and no carrier costs.

Pickup of the parts are required.

    any questions:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------. At the 03.03.07, the salesman added the following statements: I forgot to mention that I have another sentence new brake shoes (1 set for the 2 front wheels 1 Set for the 2 back wheels) for this car, and these Sets to that belong to the offer.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------. At the 05.03.07, the salesman added the following statements:

After very many questions, I wanted to clear up once that I sell the following car only to the scrap price, because the condition of the remnants enables no more construction after this accident.

Before this accident that car was in A1 condition and was maintained is service notebook, the vehicle certificate and the Abbot-Tuning papers, the agreement certification, and each papers proper in addition (e.g. calculations, etc.). will go to you. The car has had a 70000 km service, at only 67000km by mechanics in Zahnriehmen, with the accompanying wear part (water pump, chip roll, etc.)., the new brake concern got only 2000km and was damaged in the accident at the right front (front to the right with the vehicle just comming out of factory warranty

Because I posses only the orginale accident photos, these were used for the article description. Unfortunately the current condition of the car is not that which you will see on these photos, that in the loading of the accident vehicle, the roof and different cross member were easily damaged, someone also smashed the rear window with a stone, and the rear spoiler was stolen.

Therefore, I have described the parts, which you could use at least:

The motor (up to a small hole in valve cover), transmission, complete back wheel axis (with brakes, push mutes, differential, etc), also needs a new air filter, and everything on the driver side, Electrical control, complete front left wheel drive, most parts of the Bose Sound unit (CD 6-specialty Wechseler), GPS is Navi-plus (with the accompanying CDS IT), left doors including, interior trim, Electric window regulator, and 3 19" rims are still good

In addition following undamaged parts which survived the accident on the vehicle mounted were not: 1 x orginal exhaust concern, 1 x 4 orginal push mutes (undamaged), 1 x sentence new brake shoes (1 set for the 2 front wheels 1 Set for the 2 back wheels).

Personally I would recommend this vehicle to someone, who requires such spare parts.

The car can be seen always at following address:

Garage Martin Biver Sàrl 32 rte d' Erpeldange L - 9518 Weidingen Tél: 95,81,48 faxes: 95,78,77 the car must be picked up in the 14 following days after the auction at the dealer!

    MFG

Why do you say that? They are designed for the same circumstance as this car's
Have to ask if they would have done any good if they did. They are only effective in a frontal impact. That does not look like a frontal impact to me.

That aside, nice job of totalling the car.

And here he has listed the wreck on ebay (in German if anybody can read).

    http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=320088449961

Heres some of the text translated (badily).

Offer the remnants of my AUDI RS6 Sees badly out however still enough parts usable. Engine of ok, up to a small hole in valve cover, most brake parts, transmissions and differential are still new and usable are intact, 1 x orginal exhaust system, 1 x orginal shock absorbers (intact). I give no warranty on the function of these remnants, and take over no transport costs. Same collection of the article is necessary.

I'm sure the wreck wasn't the bad initially. I bet the SES/Police would of cut the car open.
