Audi gets set to open its new world-class headquarters and Sydney showroom this week.

THE world’s largest Audi dealership will be officially opened in Sydney with a gala event at the new 16,000 square-metre facility on Thursday night.

Thats quite cool - need to make a visit to have a look from an Architecture point of view - I'll never be able to afford to actually buy one!!

Shows how long it has been since I've been in Sydney - never even knew it was happening. This is a huge thing for Australia as well.

It`s about time Audi invested some serious money in Australia.

They make some nice cars but are always regarded as the poorer cousins to the Mercs and the BMs. They (Audi) seem to have a higher profile in Europe.

I hope they continue to make ingrounds into Oz and keep the other Europeans on their toes.

Went there on the weekend, looks fantastic, 2 level of used cars (south side) and 2 levels on new cars, Ground level is normal Audi, and top level is the S Range of audis!!!, Service area is on level 5 and 6,

Just amazing!

how bout they spend all those millions on subsidizing the cost of audis so they are affordable to teh average joe instead of building a massive showroom hahaha.. j/k !!

thats the problem with euro cars in Australia, to get anything with a hint of performance you have to pay a lot more than the local cars.... they are much better cars but the price puts them out of reach for most.

Hah - agree - flash = dollars.
I call it the casino complex. You look at the building, and just know where your money is going to go if you stupid enough to step in. Same used to go for big banks - until they worked that out and stopped being so flashy. But I think once you hit a certain amount of dollars then you want the show and the flash - you want that latte brought to you in some lounge while you sit back and enjoy looking at the cars. And I think these cars cost so much in Australia, that I don't think a showroom or 20 going to make much difference to price of the model you buying. In fact - if it helps them move more of the model in Australia, they may just cost us less.
