Hi Jman. The rubber is a per metre buy from Clark Rubber. I used one with a flexi metal insert so that I could mould it to shape - and it stays that way.

The OTR is an Orssom one which many of us have. Produced by Orssom who are somehow connected with Sonny. Good unit and good gains! Gave me 15rwkw over a pod filter.
    Hi Wonky.

Mate it might be grandpa's Berlina but I just love the colour (I think its' discontinued?), a little bit of chrome (which you couldn't get on the SS) and the bodykit ... I'm happy with it.

Wow 15rwkw from the OTR ! I knew it wasn't my imagination!

Yeah, I love Evoke but couldn't get an SS in it even as a special order when I used to work (indirectly) for Holden. May be a way to do it if ever I change cars as I love the SS front in particular.

I got 8rwkw out of the OTR before the tune was tweaked and another 7kw after tweaks (all done the same day).

Ha Ha... I forget to mention that on the list of mods for the Berlina is:
    • Pipe Holder
    • Cardigan hanger
    • Sheepskin Seatcovers & matching Steering wheel cover
    • Thermos Holders
    • Hat Rack
    • Rear Louvre
    • Static Strap
    • Wind Deflectors
    • Mud Flaps
    • External Sun Visor
    • Flyscreen on the Grille
    • .... AND my wife is currently crocheting a rug for the parcel shelf too!
Then I think it will nearly be as good as an Aurion.... oh and I need to lose about 100kw somewhere...

Just jokes mate... you will be stoked wit the OTR, easy fit, looks great and good results.

What were the specs of your CAM? What sort of improvements did you notice?

    On another note...

We will be doing the tourist thing in Tassie for 2 weeks in Novemeber. What is a Must see? A bit of local knowledge would be appreciated.

    Cheers
Cam is custom 220/220 .581/.581 114+2 ordered from Speed inc. it aint in the car yet hopefully by the 30th for test n tune at the track down here.

Must see is Symons plains and the Dragtrack lol. I havent had a look around yet but I've been told Straun is really nice but Launceston is worth a visit IMO. Cant go wrong down here the roads are fantastic and the cold air is very welcome. Let me know when you down here and we'll have a beer.

    Cheers Rob

Yeah, they stopped including it on all but high end models (Calais and above I believe) at the start of 2007. Cost about $25 from the dealer. I bought one and then sold it again when I put the OTR in, but having seen the very neat job above I'm going to buy another. Part 92183726 - see http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthre...24&#post895224

    Thanks wonky,
I was starting to get wound up about spending 50 k on a ute and having bits missing?? Then what else have they forgotten
Will get a panel myself for when the otr goes on. Looking at the pics with the cut outs it looks like it was allways there from the start.

    Re: T2000's VE Berlina

    UPDATE:

The Oztrack Engine and Auto tune were done on Saturday.

Steve spent plenty of time pouring over the Data Logs that were created after a bit of scenic driving around Wollongong. I pretended to know what Steve was talking about whilst he spoke his "second language" and he kept pointing at the laptop. I think I almost fooled him when I kept saying "uh-huh" at the appropriate times.

Long story short: The tunes are in ... and it is a different car!

Big thankyou to Steve for the time and effort that he put into creating an awesome tune, especially for the A6!

The throttle response is now instant. No more 0.5 to 1 second hesitation when you press "the loud pedal". ALOT less throttle % is required to get the car rolling and to keep it rolling... instant fuel stats back this up, but I will do an economy verification trip soon to nail down the real numbers. The car definately pulls alot harder and willingly revs to redline.

The Auto feels like it has been replaced!!! It just doesn't feel like the same gearbox! Gear changes are smooth, fast and firm. I no longer seem to have a box full of neutrals when in low speed corners. The car now knows what gear it is supposed to be in and stays in it... instead of the constant cog swapping behaviour that it exhibited previously. The 1st gear surge, when slowing to a stop at traffic lights is now almost undetectable... greatly reduced from standard tune.

The sports mode manual shift also happens a lot faster! Steve reckons that the tune will continue to improve slightly as I put some extra km's into the Autos CPU.

All in all, very happy with the Oztrack Tune!!!

NO MORE GEARBOX ISSUES FOR ME !!!

    Re: T2000's VE Berlina

Hi Rob, No haven't done the Wideband yet.

After the Liquid Injected LPG install I will probably put on extractors and High Flow Cats... that will be a good opportunity to install the Wideband.

Then a touch-up tune will be on the cards

Toying with the idea of buying an EFI live off Oztrack, doing some extensive data logging (after the next round of mods) then getting him to have a look at the data for me.

That way I can spend a fair bit of time trying to get the tune right, getting max power out of the 110 octane BBQ juice, without spending too much time annoying Steve.

    Re: T2000's VE Berlina

Geez i'm a lazy ba$tard... haven't updated this in months!!!

So I'll try to bring it up to date.

    I added a couple of Calais Tail-lights... really didn't like the Berlina ones;

So from the rear it looks like this:

You might also notice that I colour coded the wheel centre caps and added chromed wheel nut covers.

I HAVE ALSO INVESTED IN A LIQUID INJECTED LPG SETUP:

I decided on a Donut tank instead of the torpedoe... so I didn't lose any boot space:

The Heater hoses have also been re-routed away from the inlet manifold:

I have also put on a set of Pacemaker Tri-Ys and full 2.5 inch Pacemaker Cat-Back

    Any way... it's going good!

Off to WSID on Wednesday... will (hopefully) add another update after that!
