Re: Show and Tell: What bike do you ride??

Just picked up another toy to add to the collection.

07 YZF-R6 in Gloss Black with Silver Pearl

Fell in love with bike as soon as I saw it and had to have it.

Power Commander, Akrapovic Megaphone Slip-On, BMC Filter, Sato Racing Gearsets, Pazzo Racing Levers, Lots of carbon bits, Full gloss black with silver pearl respray, De-stickered, Fender Eliminator, Skidmarx headlight covers

Only get low qual pics atm, will get proper ones up on the weekend after a good clean and polish so stay tuned.

U can see another one of the toys in the background. 08 Holden SSV Ute.

Damn!! That's sexy as hell!! I want one!! But it's gonna be a while before I can ride larger than a 250
Do you take it to the track? I can imagine you rocking up in the ute with the R6 in tow would turn a lot of heads. Love the carbon bits!

Na i only just bought it and getting used to riding it. I do want to take it to the track once I feel comfortable with it.

I would love to see if i can put the R6 in the tray of the ute. I think it will fit with the tailgate down. Scariest bit would be getting it on and off from that height.

I actually purchased a full carbon fibre ferring kit for it that I will be putting on next month. Cost an arm and a leg but will definitely make it stand out.

Re: Show and Tell: What bike do you ride??

This is my 08 Honda CRF 450X. Spent a bit extra on it getting it to where i want it.

    Mods so far are;
    - Black Excel rims
    - Krooz Tune modified suspension with Eibach springs
    - Bridgestone M404 tyres
    - full DRD exhuast system
    - Re-jetted to suit pipe
    - Pro Taper Windham bars
    - Works Connection anodised egine plugs
    - Magura hydraulic clutch setup
    - Goodridge braided brake lines
    - CRF bachplate
    - CRF rad guards
    - CRF case saver
    - Stealth rear sprocket
    - RK Gold chain
    - Hammerhead shifter
    - Decal Works backgrounds

To say that i am impressed with this bike is a gross undestatement. The bike has been nothing short of brilliant since i purchased it last year, and it goes like a scalded cat! Now ive got the suspension all sorted it really is the perfect trail weapon.

Ouch... carbon fairing kits are two arms, two legs, and some nuts Awesome that you've got the kit now tho! Post some pics once you stick them on. I may be less wow'd though as I love carbon accents but full on carbon everywhere is not to my taste. Nice to have a lighter bike though Just my opinion but see what you think cos that's the important part! You may prove me wrong and change my mind

Yeah, I think the bike will fit diagonally with the tailgate down but the licence plate being on the tailgate is a problem. The cops may not be your friend. Is it legal to jack something up so that the rear licence plate is visible
    when the tailgate is down?
You might have to look at a ramp of some kind to get it up in the ute. If you drop the bike on to the carbon fairings, I'd be expecting about a billion pieces and probably some tears or vomit or something

I keep looking at your bike... I want one!!!

My mate just got a KTM 450SXF. He did quite well in his last race esp considering it's basically a brand new bike. It looks like an absolute weapon and I'll bet yours is probably faster with the mods. Very nice!

    Cheers mate.
The 450X didnt ever really have any valve issues from memory. They have stainless valves, whereas the 450R had titanium. Pre 05 450R's were the trouble some ones.

Pre 05 450Rs were troublesome, same may apply to the X aswell. Mine hasnt even needed shimming yet, and its done probably 30hours.

I also have a 2008 crf450x, so happy with this bike. Got full exhaust system, rejetted, high flow airfilter, opened up airbox a bit, quickshot, programmed vortex ignition system with high and low power mode switch. Awesome / fun bike. My weekends just got better. [IMG][/IMG]

I also have an old collector 1969 Bultaco Pursang. Runs fine but stays in the house.[IMG][/IMG]
