tex Z grip??
Just doing some research before I need the new clutch. What does everyone recommend (from personal experiances using the clutches). I don't really want to go twin plate unless it's really needed.
tex Z grip??
+1 Tex Z Grip
Go the twin plate.
NPC twin plate.
Tex Z grip again.
. Nick's Performance Clutches. Got mine from SQP in Perth. One mega tough clutch.
Has anyone tried capas twin plate clutches?
What are the prices for the NPC clutches and the feel of them?
The pedal felt very soft under foot. Don't let that fool you though. As the clutch engaged it grabbed, and I mean grabbed, every time. I wouldn't recommend one if you don't need it though. The NPC twin is for those with big power that want to use that power. It's not what I would be wanting to use in a daily. I think from memory it was about $2500ish, give or take. I'm not sure what power it will handle but it was enough for mine to run a 10 on the quarter, running slicks and pulling 1.5 second 60 footers.
Thats what I said after I was advised to get one, but it was more like Who TF is NPC???, but after having it in the car for a few days now, all I can say is they are great. The most stock feeling heavy duty clutch out there I would say (scary like stock) with just a stiffer pedal.
Much better than the CI SSCC clutch that just came out, thing shuddered like a bitch. I keep waiting for the shudder with the NPC but it has none.
Good luck with it
Also told NPC does builds for Mal Wood, but this could have just been the sales side of the guy at work.....
Cheers
+1 For the Z Grip, Shudder not so much a problem for me but clutch squeal when taking off is common. And annoying lol
