Was @ Calder today and f*%# I've forgotten how hard it is to get a car of the line cleanly. Anywho this is the net result.

    VE SS Ute 6 man

    3" Custom Made Exhaust
    Pacies
    High Flow Cats
    Exedy HD Clutch
    Harrop CAI
    Comp Cam
    Tune by Electronic Automotive 329rwk
    20"s with Street Rubber
    3.47 gears

    Result - 12.90 @ 114.30mph.

60' - 2.247 - pox but was best for the day.

I was happy with the day overall but just goes to show that with that many ponies you need slicks to get a good 60'.

I really need slicks and gears if I want to get in the low 12's or high 11's.

    Thaughts?

    Cheers

    Stevo

    MPH was good

As you are aware the fastest VE since 25/07/10 is now 8.9 seconds at 160MPH.That was achieved with 2 shit runs on a day with rain stopping/starting.Our next time out will be 5th November ( Friday night) and Iam confident of a mid to low 8 second pass this time around.

Mate, you should be pretty happy with your results-to run 12.9 on 20s is not bad at all, after all VEs are bloody heavy.

Is there any further information on this pass? Which VE did it, what is the spec?

Next time out try to source some really light weight drag wheels and slicks + front runners. It will make a big difference. What are the cam specs?

My VE is a twin turbo 440cu build,it currently making about 1070hp at the wheels and is capable of making heaps more power-its not your average bolt-on build and has been 3 years in the making,it also has a 9 inch 4 link rear setup.

Ah yes. I remember this build. I am glad it is finally doing what it was built to do. Good luck with pushing it to the next level. Keep us posted.

    2010 GXP Maloo.
    Stock untouched 1800km
Weight savings: Its a GXP so doesnt come with a spare and was using std VE SS rims at the back with factory Potenza saving approx 8kg. At least 10kg of other work gear behind seat.

    ET 13.177
60' 2.145 (grannied off the line to avoid wheel spin)
    MPH 107.27
    temp 22.3
    density altitude 297m
    humidity 56%

later in the night it ran 108.3mph with the air filter out, but wheel spin caused higher ET.
