Ok so 400 rwkw divided by 1.55 tonne = ~260 rwkw per tonne versus say 180 rwkw guesstimate divided by 1.05 tonne for the Z = ~170 rwkw per tonne. So the GT-R still has a fair bit of lead, not to mention to 4WD advantage.

How's the difference in the seat-of-the-pants feel? Is it as much as the figures would suggest?

My kw/T will be bit higher soon with the manifold/throttle/injector mods but as is......let's just say we've already had a roll-on in second, in the one lane with him starting behind me and I was well in front when we hit 150-160ish. He would have been realing me in though. I don't bother taking it past 5k at the moment as it runs out of puff. Starting from a dead stop would be completely different of course.

Seat of the pants?..........imagine removing 600kgs from your car and making it smaller so there is less wind resistance. Thats what it feels like.

Love the 33 all so, my mate has a Midnight Purple R33 GTR V-spec and man it launches hard, it is something else aye. That is only with Power Fc, cams, exhaust and few other bolt on bits. I am trying to imagine a launch in that one

I've got all the parts I need for my stage 1 upgrades ;D (I've been playing too much GT5)

LS6 injectors
I've ported and polished my throttle body to 78mm, and will port manifold to suit.
PAC 1218 valve springs (rev limter here we come)

Here is a link to an interesting thread about the LS6 conversion and using the LS1 coolant lines.
Some people are converting the newer cars back to the LS1 coolant lines in the USA because they reckon it worked better than the LS6 system.
I recently did one and used a hammer and sharp wide blade screwdriver as suggested on here.
Worked a treat, no problems.

Some confusion, the GTR's not mine, its a mates from work.
When referring to its bigger brother I meant within the Nissan family etc.

Well the LS6 manifold has been installed but after also installing the LS6 injectors, I was advised to wait until it gets a tune otherwise they'd run too rich, so the LS1 injectors went back in.
I think the seat-of-the-pants-o-meter has picked up some improvement in the top end just by changing the manifold.
I ported the entry to manifold as well as spare throttle body which required me to make up a new 78mm throttle blade as the factory size is 75mm. I haven't installed this bigger throttle body yet.

Well I havent done too much to this since the last update. I raced it at a local go kart track and split the steering rack bushes, but had lots of fun.
