Tickford XR8 Motor Info Please

200kw = GT cam (.458" lift) 1.6 rolla FMS crane rockers, hand built label, 65mm T/B, Stock GTP heads.

220kw = (.455" lift) 1.72 Yella terra rockers, bigger valves, more compression up to 9.4:1, 70mm Tickford T/B, handbuilt label.

OP. I know of a guy in melbourne who wrecks alot of tickford V8's.. (only buys cars with the handbuilt engines). I can see what sort of spare engine pieces he has if you like..

Thanks very much Kris! I'm not quite sure where they're up to but do know it won't be done by Xmas as they've borrowed one of our cars. I was only quoted on a full set of rockers so wonder if that's the only way they come. Therefore if you could find out whether he has new or good used individual rockers and also head gaskets for the AUIII XR8 (220kw) Tickford please given I was told they were NLA. Also as a matter of interest whether he has changeover heads (not necessarily reco) please and prices. Thank you!

Not a problem mate, I'll get in touch with him and see what he has..

Also, being that the Windsor motor is the same as in the early mustangs, with our dollar the way it is atm, it couldn't hurt to have a look at summitracing . com. They do quite a cheap shipping price to Australia and are very good to deal with... I'm almost certain you'd get headgaskets, rockers and anything else you need quite easily..
