It was only getting traction in the second half of the track, if you have the hp it will do the mph.

I'm not sure what I'm doing...I don't think I'm the world's greatest driver. It's an auto - I just put my foot on the break, stall it up a little bit, lights go green and slam the go fast pedal...It's not that hard!

But for a car that only has 278rwkw and 100kg+ of stereo with 20" street tyres....I must be doing something right. Or the car is making power in the right areas...Or there are some seriously whacked dynos out there...

MPH, not rwkw, is where it's at.

The calculators come up with a figure of 612hp to the wheels = 457 rwkw !!

The dyno measured 490 rwkw peak ... that is about a 7% difference, a loss of 33 rwkw.

When you enter 490 rwkw (656rwhp) you get a calculated MPH of 123.5 mph.

That's only 2.5 mph off what was recorded over the quarter.

    Maybe stickier tyres might help?

Can someone with some drag racing experience check the above numbers?

    The figures look about right.

Don't forget that the horsepower is flywheel, not at wheel.

Sounds like a very strong car!!

Do you know what the car and driver weighed when you done this MPH??

How much power have you got to the wheels?

Thanks... I'm confused with the HP calculators as some say rear wheel HP others do not mention at the wheels or flywheel.

Nice run ... what did the car weigh?

The Tunehouse car has a lot more in it. If you see the Youtube vid (on the Tunehouse Project car thread) it done it easy. The car is going to go out again soon.

As far as the power goes, I might try and borrow it (ha!) and take it to a dyno day with a roller dyno. Any coming up?

With this amount of power on a chassis dyno, IMO would be WELL under the HUB dyno's numbers you're getting.
You're not having BAD traction issues, as 1.8 60ft times are pretty good. MPH never lies, simple as that. No disrespect intended, its a sweet car.
As long as you're happy with it, that's all that matters.

I think with this mph, your best times would be mid 11's...nothing to sneeze at.
