Maybe people should do some reading of reviews before making a purchase Vulture. You'll find that the radios have little effect on the battery life unless you're in a low service area. All the reviews I've read on the Nexus have said the battery life is bad. That probably means the battery life will be bad.
Use the internets. You obviously all have it.
Leaving aside the condescending tone of your post for a minute....
Of course the large screen will use more power - incredibly, I was able to work that out despite not being an astrophysicist. I certainly did/do read the reviews.
Both the iPhone4S and the SGN are described as having poor battery life. To get a true guide of exactly how they compare is extremely difficult, if not impossible, from reading forum posts... In reality, the way I use the devices the iPhone4S has the better battery life by a significant margin. Turning off some radios does help a little. Besides, I can afford to buy these things for fun and don't really give a rat's arse either way. I have a Sensation XL as well that I play around with. I just don't take the whole thing as seriously as some people...they are toys to me to be mucked around with. But every Android phone that I have tried has impressed with some of its features but they aren't quite there overall. The SGN/ICS is the closest yet to the iOS simplicity, beauty, slickness and resolved overall integration but there are still shortcomings that the iOS/iPhone does a great deal better. Don't get me wrong, Android is excellent, but Google and the phone manufacturers still have some way to go to get iPhone levels of polish. True, they are getting closer all the time.
