Brakes look fantastic! Will definitely have to have a look into those!
What wax did you use? Did you use a sealant for the initial layer or is it wax straight to the panel? Is it layered?
Looking good as always...
Thanks mate
yeah it's nice to know others like what I've done and to have around 12 trophies the magazine feature and another one in the pipeline makes me a happy man.
As for the cam I think it's a stealth or some shit like that, why did I go that cam? because I was a soft ****if I could do it again yes I'd go bigger.
My car would be great as a daily with that cam but for what I use the car for its way to small.

2 layers of sealant and 2 layers of wax will keep it beading for a fairly long time to come! The photos look awesome. You can see the depth in the paint. Did you wetsand to reduce peel or was there some deep swirls? I'm in the process of re-polishing and sealing all my panels. I've done all the horizontal panels (same 2 layers sealant, 2 wax), next will start on the drivers side quarter and doors. I'd love to see it in person! Not going to happen though haha.
All my detailing stuff is from Final Inspection, Melbourne. The Sealant is called Seal V2 and the wax is called Dark Matter. Very happy with the wax properties, it has no fillers and contains a tinting agent that gives the black on my car a lot more depth and richness. As for the sealant, it's great by the second and third coat, single coat doesn't bead very well (they recommend you apply the sealant a fortnight at a time when layering to achieve the best bond and hardness of the sealant, so I'm stuck on one coat until friday). For the price of the sealant, it's good value for money.
Good question. I've actually tried everything. I have used every product from Autobarn, I have used Menzerna Polishes and Swissvax wax's as I used to be a detailer. As Damian's products come out, I end up favouring them over any other brands.
I love the basic products like Paint Pampering Body Shampoo (PPBS) (I'm not sure what method you use to wash your car, but it's based on using multiple MF mitts and spraying the shampoo on each side of the mitt and washing the car a panel or two at a time), General Purpose Cleaner (GPC) (is awesome for cleaning tyres, wheel wells, hard interior plastics), Power Wheel Cleaner (amazing on heavily brake dusted wheels, probably not necessary on your SS). That's his cheaper stuff, and even though it tends to be slightly dearer than your generic autobarn brands, its effectiveness weighs over the extra cost. I'd also recommend picking up a Waffle Weave Drying Towel (WWDT) which is used as a chamois. Most efficient way to dry a car! Everyone who's seen me use mine has bought one haha.
By far his best product (in my opinion) is Full Metal Jacket (FMJ), which is a potent sealant. It is expensive, around 275 to apply one coat to your car and can be very difficult to apply (you can't leave the product on a panel for over 2minutes or you won't be able to remove the hazing), but the result is like nothing I've ever seen. It beads perfectly for a good 18months, and actually provides a 1micron thick sacrficial layer to the elements like pollution, tree sap, bird shit etc.

car looks great rob ,can you tell me where you got the wolfgang products from??
Thanks for all the info mate looks like I'll have to make an order, I'm also a detailer and am always looking for better products or ways to do things.
I wash the same way as you to minimize swirls and also use WWDT to dry, I even get out the garden blower to get all the water out of the hard to reach spots haha
The FMJ sounds like its worth a try and would be good on some of the less loved cars I do to give more protection in between details.
FMJ would be perfect for that. I don't bother with it on my car because I polish it every 10-12 months to remove swirls and therefore don't get the most out of FMJ as far as longevity goes. I layer his cheaper sealant, works out much better for me.
Give his stuff a go, I'm really happy with everything. He knows what the enthusiast and professional needs and doesn't dumb down his products to suit the general public like meguiars and autoglym etc do.
