Ls1 coversion into HK ute

check out my build thread in my ride ls1 in hilux. not the same but u may get some ideas.... alot of custom work we utilised vy ss engine mounts but if i was to do it again i would nolathane bush type mount it..
justin from the old sideshow is the man for any wiring needs..
aussie desert coolers for radiator
jegs for bulk fuel system parts etc (over 250 otherwise postage isnt worth it as they use fedex)

Thanks for the info lowhsv ill post some pics up soon , good idea about the trans tunnel who knows what could happen down the track may want to put a t 400 or something that can handle some big HP.

allow extra room when making trans tunnel incase u change box down the track..

Hello mate - best of luck with the project.

You'll get heaps of knowledge about getting the most from LS engines here.

Not saying you can't get good information about the actual practicalities of installing one in an early car here as well, but also take a look at / join this site where there's quite a few detailed build threads and discussion on issues such as mounts, pans, etc.

However, have a good search on here too as such things have been discussed here in some detail. If you dont turn anything up sing out and I'll find them for you.

I guess CAE is seen as a one stop shop for these conversions - you'd hope they would produce well sorted gear for HK considering their first (or at least an early) crack at LS1 conversions was in their own HT(G?) panel van. Also try and track down Justin (ex-sideshow) as mentioned as he seems to have a lot of people saying he's good.

You may be able to help me, i tried to sign into aussiev8s but on the register page there is a " Random question" i dont understand how this question works as i have filled in and it says the answer is not correct ??? where do you get the answer or question from??? whats the answer??? i put a question in but no where to answer it??? ... this may sound stupid but have tried to register 4 x and still coming up with the same fault .
