Guys,
Would like some info on the above mentioned tyres.
I have been quoted $277 for the nexes tyres and a similar price for the federal.
Are either of them any good and any experiences people have had with them.
Cheers

IVE had 3 set of feds on 2 cars very happy with the life and wet waether braking
i will by again better then falken 452 IMO
I have actually just order 2 federal 595 evos for the front of mine. 245 wide. $225 fitted and balanced when they arrived. Thought that was pretty good.
I use federal 595 245/40/18, get them for $170 ea. No complaints from me about quality, grip well to.
Yep I use fed 595 evo in 275/30/20 about $300 each. Excellent grip, wet and dry, track days, wear really well too. Highly recommended!
Had 595 evo's on my VE SS, 245/35/20 and 275/30/20. They are really hard wearing (still had 75% tread after 30K km), but as a trade off, the wet weather grip was shocking (IMO) and the side walls are really stiff making for a rough ride.
I had 18" Feds and found they were great to begin with but after they wore down were very unpredictable in the wet, sometimes good other times very loose,I didn't trust them so got rid of them .They were under 50% worn but winter was starting.Running Michelins Sports P3's now
i got 275/30/20 595 evos on the rear.. in the dry they are great... grip very well... last long tooo... but in the wet they are crap... i hate when it rains...
whatever brand you go for just make sure their load rated !!!! i ran non load rated 225/35/20 nexens and very dangerous fractures/ bubbles appeared on inside of front tyres!!!! from memory they were 90 y load rating where commodore,s should be 93 or 95 or more!!!!! was running mine on the front at drags doing at the time 134mph + glad i changed them before a bad incident!!!! cheers
Yup I would agree with the above post completely. I would never put another set of Federal Evos on again. But having said that, its more what you use your car for and the expectations of tyres and grip. I am now an absolute advocate for Toyo R1R semi comp tyres, I have em on as my daily drivers but I wan't absolute best traction in both wet and dry - and these tyres do it for me.
Had 2 sets of 595's on the rear of my ute. Can't complain as both wet and dry grip has been good for me. Would use again.
So the overall consensus is that Federal tyres are good decent tyre for what you pay?
Majority say they are good both in dry and wet conditions and would use again?
I went fron Falken 452 275/30/19 to Federal 275/30/19 595's and I have more grip in the dry but not in the wet. They have already done more kms than the Falken so for the price I will definatly buy again.
Thanks Daniel
I think the Federal is slightly wider as it scrapes a tiny bit where the Falkens did not.
Thanks Daniel
