Love the spread on your car mate, looks great. I am about to install the same suspension SSSL and Monroes and it looks real low. Do you have many scraping issues, and have the police had much interest in the height? Here in the Nanny state (VIC) we have to have 100mm clearance and I can only assume the SSSL springs will make the cats lower then that.

Thanks mate, Ive had No scraping issues at all and the cops seem to leave me alone, I'm not sure on the clearance as I've never measured it but I'll have a look in the next few days ( the cars not at home ) and I'll let you know the clearance.

Got the tape out and was surprised with how low it is, the lowest point of the body is 100mm and the the exshaust is around 80mm so it's a bit under the 100mm. And hear I am thinking another 10 or 15mm lower would be nice.

Is the sub box going to be ported rob? You don't want two Type-Rs sealed off, it's too restrictive.. Though I guess it depends on what music you listen to...

I'm looking forward to the new set up! Although, I really liked your old set up! it was so neat!

Sealed is always quieter than ported. It also doesn't kick as hard. It really depends what you listen to though. If you listen hiphop/rnb often, the box needs to be ported. If you listen to rock/electro often, you won't really need a port. If you listen to a bit of everything, then i'd say port it. My brother just did his system, had the same sub in a sealed box and in a ported box. The ported box is so much louder. We didn't notice any reduction in clarity either.

nice one, any particular reason u aimed the subs into the car, I found I got better bass aiming them towards the boot, mine are also alpine type R's

I just like the look of it like that no other reason, when you say better do you mean louder or better clarity?

    Re: Robs ve ss

when trial fitting my system I had the subs facing inside the car as u have them now, when i did that the only way they sounded better was when i put the rear seat down,

but when u spun them around, they bass was alot more punchy inside the car and thats with the seat up , just sounded better.

I no everyone aims the forward for "looks" but thats not the reason u bought them, I no I bought mine for BASS so that why I imed them towards the boot, I still have a perspec window with it all lit up inside etc.... looks mint.
