gaz05 - can you please let people know who has the Caddy pans so I can sell them the Caddy filters to recoup some money? Not being able to work now means I'm constantly walking a thin line money wise and need to pay off my credit card bill before I cop too much interest.

    Hi Gaz,
are you willing to share what you have done to modify the caddy pans with people that
are going to do this mod themselves, ie baffling, extra oil, and any other things you have found?

    Re: Filling 6L80E

Posted one filter to far northern Vic yesterday and it cost me $14.70 including the box and registered post, so my guess of $15 seems to have been pretty close. The filter measures approx 23cm long, 17cm wide and 18cm high and the post office didn't have a box anywhere near those dimensions so I had to get one almost twice as big as necessary, plus some airbags to fill it up for some sort of protection. I'm going to see if I can find some boxes far nearer the size so I can prepare each filter for sending at home, including padding, to make it easier for myself as soon as gaz05 says the pans are ready to go. According to what I've seen on http://auspost.com.au/apps/domestic-parcel.html reducing the size of the box won't affect the postage but will just make it easier for me.

Sending to Perth for example adds just over $4 to the cost, so I'm going to have to work out each one individually.

OK Dave. That makes it easy!! Next time you're going to be in the south eastern suburbs let me know in advance and I'll meet you somewhere to hand them over, or I could even leave them at Chev's for you so you can just call in and pick them up whenever's convenient.

    Re: Filling 6L80E

Tre-Cool picked up four Caddy filters from me yesterday for himself and a few guys back in WA (nice to meet you Dave! ) and I've sent one off to the guy who bought the last Caddy pan I got, so allowing one for me I have six left. One is for Roonstain and I think daztheclipper wants one too if gaz05 has a pan for him. Whichever way, I believe I have enough for whoever gaz05 has modified pans for (he's obviously still busy as haven't heard any more from him).
