After i finsh trimming I've still got to mount the amps and wire it all up, then it's onto the boot lid and mounting my 19" screen and splits.

    Very nice Rob, looks awesome
Are you planning on putting some lighting inside the sub and amb boxes?

    Cheers

Nice work with the boot install mate! very clean looking setup! what's it sound like? I assume you didn't end up porting the sub box...

    1 Vote for Red lights.

It's not wired up yet so no idea how it sounds, I didnt want to see the port so I'm thinking of doing it in the top of the box, would that be a bad idea?

Can't say I've ever seen a port on top of a sub box before. There's a fair bit of science that comes into correctly porting a sub box. The port can be bigger, smaller, longer and shorter to 'tune' the frequencies that will be produced. My brother had a custom box made and the guys who made it spent a week on it so that it produces the correct frequencies. Was it worth all that effort? Probably not, but id say it would be worth contacting a reputable speaker shop and asking them their opinion on the best place to port it... Then you can at least make an educated decision on what to do from there.

Yeah your probably right just banging a port in the box would probably sound worse than having none at all, I mite just leave it the way it is and see how it sounds first.

    Nice work Matt

I'm Pleased Daves sorting it for you he's a top guy, now if you end up doing rears you only need to get a set of hsv rotors and your good to go, it's going to look good mate.

I still have no idea what lights to use, I had a play with a red neon but in the red box it looked orange and not as good as I thought it would.
I'll have it all wired today and I'm keen to see how it sounds but I will need to pull it all out 1 more time as I ran out of dynamat, I'll need to sort out the lights buy then as I'm not taking it out again after that.

Yeah ill do the rears eventually, just need to refill the bank balance for a while i think lol. Yeah Daves been awesome, nothing but helpful.

The only thing i could think of for lighting would be a white light to bring out the red or maybe a UV light, a UV lit up on the back of those subs would look pretty cool i reckon, just dont know how it would affect the red.

    Cheers
    Matt
