Cheers mate, no reason for changing the OTR my brother had the fibreglass one sitting there and i thought I would try it, was no difference in performance so I sold the VCM one and invested the money in some diff gears.

Re: my 293 rwks 02 VX SS

Well it was an awesome night of racing and a massive turn out once again. Lots of fast Ls1's and plenty of quick other cars also. I got there nice and early so I could have a few quick runs and see how the car was feeling and play with tire pressure a bit. On the first run the SS felt pretty string out of the hole and managed a 1.56 60footer but just felt lazy through 2nd and 3rd gears and started to miss fire before the finish line, it still managed a 11.2 @ 120mph but it didn't feel as sting as last time I raced it. My 2nd and 3rd runs were identical with misfiring 3/4 track and resulting in mph to drop to 118mph and the 114mph but still 11.2 and 11.3 et, so I parked the car for the night and decided I would stop before I hurt something. I will Checkout a few things through the week and re Dyno with the pipes off and check the a/f and check the coils and fuel pressure's etc.. Bit shattered but that's racing lol!! I will be back in a few weeks all sorted hopefully!!

A few small updates had the car on the Dyno today to check a few thing and take a bit of fuel out as it was running rather rich. After some tinkering we had it singing.. Before we started tinkering it pushed out 262/3rwks and after we took some fuel out and added some timing in here and there is made 279rwks but leaning out up top of the rev range. We checked a few things and the fuel pump is running out of steam so a bigger fuel is needed. The pump is a deatsch works 320l/h. Will be looking into and external type with surge tank in the coming weeks to ensure enough supply when I do heads and nos kit later on in the year..

The trunion kit was so easy, I just used a socket to sit the rocker on and hit the old shaft out. I used a punch to hit them out. I looked everywhere for something that I could slide over the new shaft to hit the 1st bearing in and to ensure that the shock from hitting them in wouldn't cause to needles to shift or move and so they would stay in place as I did not have acces to a press to press them in.. I used a transmission dip stick rubber insert (turbo 400) which is the perfect diameter needed. The kit comes with washers to use for hitting/pressing them, if you are doing them your self make sure every shaft spins nice a free once you have finished each rocker. Pm me of you have any other questions!!
