Chasing 11 seconds

I'm looking to make my A4 ls1 vt senator an 11 second car that can be also comfortably used as a daily.

Current mods are :
htv 1900 supercharger with 2 bar tune
twin 2.5in exhaust/extractors/cats
Strengthened engine internals and auto.

I'm currently pulling 311rwkw with stock stall converter/ 3.08 diff/ stock cam, and have never been down the 1/4 mile before (so have no idea where I'm currently at), but wondering what else I'd need to do to make mine an 11 second car.

My thinking is that a smallish cam, 3.7 diff, and some head work will get me to approx 370-400rwkw and somewhere between 11.0 and 12.0 seconds.

Having been down the (loose 4000rpm) stall converter road before, I'm hesitant to go down that route again.

Any thoughts?

A 300rwkw vt should not have too much trouble running a 11. Suspention and tyres are key not more power.

drag it and see how it goes. buy some mt street slicks 11's should be easy

As said, should be a high 11 without really trying. Depends how deep in to the 11's you want to go?
Sort the suspension, wheels and give it a run. Then look to the diff gears and converter.

I've got a 4500 stall in mine and love it. Get a reputable brand to make a tight converter and you won't have any issues driving it daily.
My missus drives the car daily and its still good for 1.59 60 footers on 18" radials

Many moons ago, the guys in Brisbane were running their VU Utes in the mid-high 11s with heads/cam/exhaust/3500 stall(?)/3.9 diff and around 270rwkw. With the amount of torque you'd be producing, I probably wouldn't change the diff to anything lower than 3.45 or you may just find yourself in a cloud of smoke.

Maybe look at a Truetrac to help get the power down.

I'm running a 4500 converter, 3.91's and a cammed MP1900 making just shy of 500rwhp on 9PSI. No problem getting the power/torque to the ground, even on 18" radials. With a decent slick you'd have no dramas what so ever and still be relatively easy on the drivetrain.

As said above your car should be capable of running 11's as it is, all you need is some stickey tyres and some practice.
Take it to the track and have a go.
