What do you think the sc HSV will have, options etc. How will be positioned? What will be the timing, the build number and price? Will it be a response to sc GT or a another way of getting money out of cashed up newly wealthy now that the gfc has passed?

Don't know the answer to that...only HSV can answer that, & if you ask them, they'll tell you Jack Sh.t!
    Cheers, Pickles.

Try to please everyone and all you you end up doing is doing your head in (or stuffing a successful car company).
Well Davo you seem to have an opinion on everything ... are you honestly in the target market W427? If not, going by your advice, you shouldn't really be throwing your 2c in ...

I have purchased 7 brand new HSVs ... I've spent over $500K with the company. My current daily drive is a C63 and I would have bought a W427 without hesitation ... if it had been priced realistically.

    It wasn't and I didn't ...

I need not, and cannot, say it any better.

Lol. Relationship not what it used to be I gather.

Get of this thread and take that car of yours for a drive.

Could have bought a W for the same money!

(No need to respond, comment made is intended to be lighthearted)

So you weren't in the market for one at that price? Well boo hoo...life goes on.
By the way, you have NO IDEA what I can or can't afford. You, like many on here, seem to ASSUME that because I'm (to quote the hater internet mentality) "just" a parts jock, I'll never have anything of value in life...

I don't recall Nick making statement about financial situation Dave.

Only one doing that is you.

Geez you're a rude prick aren't you ... do your views reflect those of HSV ?

I made no assumptions about your job, I asked ... "are you honestly in the market for a W427" ... I've been honest, how about you try it. What do you do for a living and can you afford to spend $150K on a car without it having any impact on your day to day life (the only way you should ever spend that sort of money on a car) ???

Who wants to bet that Davo answers a question I didn't ask ...

Your clear inference was that I can't possibly afford cars like this, and more particularly, cars like YOU can afford. You followed it up by saying that if I can't afford cars like this, I shouldn't be giving my 2c worth. Yep, righto then.
You should be very careful judging other people's position in the world. I've tried to explain why cars like this cost far more than many people realise, and have explained what sort of customer base is their target market. You didn't agree, so you judged my position in the world.

I think bouka's point was that I never made any statement about YOUR financial situation ...

I only raised my financial situation as you seem to think anyone that hasn't bought a W427 couldn't afford it anyway so therefore weren't in the "target market" and their view is irrelevant.
