    All good mate.

I still want to know if the new box is a TR6060 with an LS7 clutch though.
Perhaps if PD is viewing this thread he might shed some light on it.

Yes it's a 6060. Been using them for a while now.

    Re: SV6 vs SS Purchase

if you buy the SV6, everytime you happen to pull up at the lights next to an SS you're going to feel like the bloke in Porsche boxster when a 911 comes along side buy a couple of year old ss, it'll still have a little warranty and with the money you save on purchase price you can buy yourself an exhaust system that will bring a big smile to your face everytime you give it a hit. And as far as fuel consumption goes, I find its best not to think about it - it will just get you down

    Re: SV6 vs SS Purchase

Only the buyer can answer what is "best" for them.
For a hardcore Commodore enthusiast, the answer is obvious. One has a V8.
For everyone else, far more pragmatic decisions need to be made. One will cost far more in running costs over it's life, particularly fuel. The 3.6 SIDI's these days are quite powerful yet rather economical. The V8's, in the suburban grind particularly, are, ummm, quite powerful... Then there's the insurance on V8 models often being a big jump up- can you genuinely afford to own a V8, or is it just your heart speaking?
As for resale, don't believe everything you read. V8's have been taking a bath at resale. It's damn hard to sell them used, whereas V6 models are an easier sell, so the trade is pricing them relative to whether they want them on the yard or not. If they don't, the "supposed" extra resale of the V8 will disappear in a blink. How long would you intend keeping it?
