    Question FPV to close ?!?

Just a rumour, but word on the street is that Leigh Andrew and Rod Barrett got hand termination letters yesterday afternoon.
An announcement on the future/closure of FPV is expected to be made today.

    Hoping it's not true.

Disagree. FPR might be on top of their game, & yeah for sure, no "might" about it... they are,....BUT FPV is another thing altogether....they might have a good engine with Miami, BUT....have a look at their sales.....despite what others say.....they have always been, & continue to be, creamed, by HSV. And, for sure, there's lots of reasons for that.....doesn't matter, their sales have NEVER been brilliant.....could be connected with Falcon's undeniable, "fall from grace".
Anyway, IF they are closing, it is VERY bad news.
    Cheers, Pickles.

Bugger that really is s#!t news. It does seem to be another nail in the Aussie V8 coffin doesn't it? I wonder where that market will end up?

Might have to look at getting a supercharged GT sooner rather than later .

can't see the rest of the story.

I am surprised this hasn't hit the mainstream motoring press yet.

Just caught a tweet saying that they are not going to close and have new models coming the sackings to bringing costs in line with (weak) sales.

With only 250kw!!!!! OMG!!!! Their ship will sink faster than the Titanic if a 4 cyl Turbo Falcon comes out in a performance guise looking at taking on HSV's heavy hitters. The F6 was impressive when it came out and went toe to toe with the 8's but just really can't see a 4cyl turbo being as impressive as their I6T.

When Falcon ends and the new future of Ford in Australia starts, they might not have a choice!
In reality, a turbo V6 all wheel drive model is more likely.

That would be the taurus based off the previous gen volvo s80 wouldnt it? I actually like the idea of that.

Ford put no effort into the quality of the interiors of the falcon and it shows, as much as I like the way they drive and would not mind an xr6, I cannot go from the commodore interior, which honestly is a bentley in comparison, to the falcon interior.
