What was your 60 foot time.

Martin is right mate. With a cam that big your mph should be a lot higher. ET is hugely variable but trap speed is surprisingly consistent. Unfortunately the mph you got is around what a stock Commodore would get. Did you try both lanes? Might have been timing issues.
Definitely target for claimed power, my old vx was unopened and went constant 12.9 to 13.0 on 235/40/18 cheapo nankangs.

does your car have an LSD that still works or a spool? If it's a standard berlina, from memory the LSD was an option but not standard. This will greatly affect your ability to launch.
Your mates cars all have an LSD. keep that in mind.
His MPH is too low

I think you guys are over looking the single most important question. Does this car have an LSD that still works or a spool because from memory the berlina did not come with one as standard? it was an optional extra. This will greatly affect your ability to launch. Your mates cars all have an LSD as standard.
I think your missing the point.

Because even with poor traction your mph is Indicative of what power the car makes and what it should be capable off.

While true I'd guess he didn't boot it and single spin through the first 200 meters.

Nutter is right last time i ran on 20 inch street tyres my times varied from a best of 11.97 to a worst of 13.80 because of lack of traction but my mph was still between 118 and 120 for all runs.
I managed 12.37 @ 115mph with my 220 220 cam. Car is manual with 243 heads. 60" was ~ 1.9sec. (I struggle to get it off the line well)
With that size cam mph should be a lot higher even with a poor launch. I've run a couple of 14 sec passes with tons of wheel spin and still had over 112mph.
Marginally. I've done a lot of runs varying from severe axle tramp (having to back right off to get traction again) to good hook-up and my mph has stayed within a 1.5mph variation. Not even taking into account atmospheric conditions. For him to lose what would probably be a good 6-10mph he'd have to abort the run somewhere down the track.
