Re: tips for new comers to the strip?

the best time i managed to do was the following

    ET: 13.482
    MPH: 105.48
    R/T: .555

the ute didn't end up coming out due to work commitments but i grabbed one of my mates and we both had a few runs in the wagon, I had a lot of fun.

Out of interest what mods usually does it take to break into the 12's ?

    Hey FS,

Sorry we didn't catch up, it seemed that we were always on the opposite sides of the track and unfortunately I had to leave early due to an early start
It was quite a weird nite with hardly anyone out besides all the rotors due to Jamboree!

You could dip into the 12's with a stall, diff gears or cam

No problem muntz Your car looked pretty sweet, what time did you end up running ?

I had great fun and it turns out the first run i did was the fastest run of the night, the car was pretty consistent, With 2 drivers over 8 runs the best time was 13.4 and the worst was 13.9

I'm trying to talk the wife into coming out and having a go next time

i'm very conscious of what effect the mods have on drive ability as my wife is the main driver of the wagon (travels from beenleigh to Mt Gravatt each day in slow traffic) I only drive this car 2 weeks at a time due to working o/seas

So in saying that the diff gears and a small cam i could live with, But is the stall really needed ? what effect on daily driving would a stall have ?

I think he meant any of those three alone may give you a 12..

If I was to have my way again I would stall my car before any mod I do, drives normal in traffic and is not lazy what soever and once I mash it - we are away, but thats my 2c

I ran a 12.82 not my best but happy with it
