So let me get this straight I just want to clarify. They 'missed a big one ' here because all they do was change the wheels and add a new colour scheme?
But an Fpv R spec which you think is the greatest thing in the world, is different from a regular GT because they've given it new wider wheels (which this hsv already had), painted the (ugly) wheels red and added more hideous red stripes and crap to the side of a car, oh but wait it also has 'retuned' suspension...
Maybe as a hsv fanatic you are just disappointed I suppose.......
I thought that "adding red stripes" was in keeping with Australian auto-manufacturer traditions for turning a Falcodore into the sports model.
Agree that the 25th Anniv would have been nice with a bit more oomph under the bonnet but it's not a bad looking package, especially the wheels.

yes you can clarify that they did miss a big chance with the 25th, making only tiny changes. And if your telling me that 70%+ suspension tuning, new colours, and other smaller vissual changes, but mainly tyre and camber upgrades which makes a MASSIVE speed increase is nothing to respect...then your an extremely tough crowd. And the falcon GT has ALWAYS come with stripes so its nothing new or cheapening adding stripes pal.And for the slow ones.you can get any of these cars without said stripes...(slaps forehead)
I love how the ussuals sidestep the performance changes everytime and head to the same old looks issue evertime...something thats irrelevant..because EVERYONE like different looks in cars. But EVERYONE wants a faster and better handling performance car. If you dont like the red Rspec..GET THE WHITE ONE...IF YOU DONT LIKE THE 25th anniversary colours...get a normal GTS...not alot diff is there.(smacks head)
All I was pointing out was that your criticism of this car is that the only differences are a colour change and new wheels. Yet they 'missed a big chance' ... Big chance at what?
The R Spec has wider wheels (that HSV have had since 2006), different colour combo, and 70% retuned suspension (that still isnt as good as what HSV have had on their car since 2006)??? Im confused? How is one car amazing and the other one such a big disappointment and missed chance?
Its fast enough. Does handle better, and judging by the sales figures obviously does look alot better? And if that isnt enough then Im sure the one coming in 12 months will be...
ill make this fast. You say "fast enough" with the wider tyres the hsvs have had for years...well that goes two ways...the GT335 has been faster (track and strip) with the skinny tyres for years. Now its got an upgrade...and its EVEN FASTER again..god forbid the gt rspec track tests when they come. And if you dont get the notion of missing the chance of making a truly memorable 25th anniversary HSV then i give up.
Heres one just for you 701let
Wakefield park lp records
HSV W427 1:09.3
FPV F6 1:09.9
HSV GTS 1:10.2
HSV R8 1:10.3
apparently timed by race drivers, and these horrible handling undertyred fords dont perform hey...some people have their heads in the clouds. This is what ive been saying...HSV needs to step up performance because i amoung others face the reality that stiff riding R8s and "allround packages only gets you so far". Let me tell you now, if fpv ever makes 25years and does a lame sticker pack for such a milestone, i wont be going near it with a barge pole
