My Ve Calais v LSX 427 HTV 2300 4l80!! Build pics inside..

Hey guys thought I would start a thread on my 07 Ve Calais v.

The car is black optioned with say nav upgrade alarm tow bar sunroof tint and black leather also 20" supersports.

The car has been stock untill recent when I had a twin 3" difilippo exhaust with custom rear mufflers and 1 7/8 extractors hpc coated fitted.

I also had an opportunity to buy the Ve Hsv 6piston yellow brake upgrade brakes and sv enhanced wheels when my brother in laws gts was written off.

Vcm Ve tank with twin pumps fitted.

Just also completed my built 4l80 conversion keeping everything looking factory and working and driving just as smooth.

A few pics and specs of the Engine I'm building at the moment ill also post in..

Car looks very tidy. Very nice looking heads.
What power figure you expecting from that combo?
I know dyno numbers aren't everything, but I'm running in a vaguely similar combo currently, so am interested.

I'm not sure as to power figures yet I know it made 430kw and massive tq previously on 10lbs and made 480kw previously on 16lbs. And the setup had many problems like not enough spring pressure 5/16 pushrods and a few more things.
I'm still not sure where I want my boost at yet as my wife drives the car daily but I'm pretty sure it'll be about 10lbs... And valve train setup will be on the money this time. So ill say possibly 450kw? I'm not sure how much power the 80 will rob over the 6speed too!

I reckon you will be pretty close there, maybe see a bit higher numbers, but you'll really be spinning that 2300 to see 10psi thru a 427 and those heads.
I'm making 11psi on a 402 with hand ported heads left over from my broken ls1, and I'm using a 75mm pulley.
Hitting 470kw but tq is big.
What pulley set were you running to see 16psi on the 427? Or did you have a restriction somewhere?

Same pulley combo just a smaller front pulley. I think it was a 75mm do you have a ribbed rear? That changes things also. It had standard heads on 16lbs and was lifting them. I'm pretty sure it's a 10% overdrive crank. It made 10lbs with a 85mm from memory. Valve float was also a problem in the past.

Yea, I've got the cogged rear, but the 1.1 version, you can get a 1-1.14 I think, but its only worth about 1-2 psi.
Interested to see the end results. Your valve float problem will be gone, but if its anything like mine, your wheelspin problem will be worse. Lol.
