pain in the ass, poxy 6 rib lol...

on another note, I took the OTR off for some mods, now the OTR is permanetly raised 30mm at the rear, and have customised the 6mm bars inside the rubber boot so it actually holds the shape and not there for just looks....

gonna run it on the dyno tomorrow if I can.

    Hi Mate

What mods did you do to the OTR?

Do you have any pics or info you would like to pass on?

    Cheers

The "Drew" Mod comes with person hanging out the bonnet

Eddie did mention on Sunday they have been shimming the VCM OTR's up at an angle to reduce / supress the crush that usually comes at the standard angle..

30HP is insane from such a small change..

Mine was slipping a bit... best money I spent? the wrap kit from harrop.... two idler pulleys, wraps the belt around the charger pulley for greater contact area and no more slip.

You should be able to work with the 6 rib on anything under 12PSI. Have you looked at changing the rear drive combo rather than downsizing the front pulley? Everyone always takes the cheap/easy option and then complains

I've got an aftermarket tensioner on mine, haven't run it on the dyno but feels a lot stronger everywhere and haven't had the belt come off like the factory/kit supplied POS used to

    Hi mate,

I took the OTR off, flipped it upside down, there Is a thick metal locator underneath on each side of the OTR where the radiator pins sit inside when the otr is fully fitted, I took those metal locators OFF and spun them upside down, that way when u sit the OTR back on it acts like a Spacer Instead of a locator, it still locates on the radiator pins but sits up nice and high instead of going all the way down creating that shity angle between the OTR and TB

I checked clearences with blue-tac on all the high places on the OTR and have about 8-10mm clearence everywhere so its no touching the bonnet by any means.

I also Bent all the 6mm metal rods inside the rubber boot so that they are alot more spread, when fitted it now hold the shape of the boot rather than sucking in when u mash the pedal

I have cracked the ORIGINAL tensioner that came with the Magnusun Kit, I have fitted my Original LS3 tensioner and dropped a heap of belt sizes, Now the belt is that tight I can barely get it on, So there is NO reason for it to slip, but weather its a new belt or not it still does it, not major, but U can see it in the dyno graph.

There will be a VCM ORTCAI specifically to suit the VE Heartbeat, along with a bunch of other goodies.

Yes, however the VE version looks very similar.

Oh ... and it is currently pulling some VERY serious numbers on the 6PK with no slip.
Turbos are OK, but I prefer to be Oversize, Stroked & Blown!

well with a new belt and tensioner I had slip. not really much I cn do about it...

550rwhp and was slipping, could see it in the graph, also the camaro (bumble bee) had slip too, both maggie's

cant see there being much of a difference between the maggie tensioner pulley that came with the kit and the genuine GM one, other than it being a different belt size.

and I dont fance spending another 350$ on a magnusun tensioner pulley if its just gonna crack again.

I didn't break my Maggie one but it would flick the belt off on gear changes. Went with one from East Coast Superchargers in the states, much better quality than the "heavy duty" one that came with the kit. Is fairly adjustable in setup too, to get more/less tension on the belt.

Changing the rear drive pulleys will be cheaper than changing to an 8pk setup.

I'd imagine the Harrop belt wrap kit only suits the Harrop blowers?
