Well I was thinking that I would wait to see what HSV does, but now I think I might buy an SS variant so the grill matches my wife's Hyundai i30

And Audi, and a few VWs, the new Captiva as well. Probably a number of cars that aren't even on sale here too. How many completely unique styles of grill can be made?

Yeah, I know. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Designers can't help but be influenced by what they see around them. It's getting harder for a manufacturer to have a style all their own.

I reckon there is some Suzuki Kizashi in the front too.
Most cars share some design cues these days.

You could probably throw in a bit of the FG MKII in to that as well. The trapezoidal front is actually part of Ford global design DNA.

A pearl white would be a welcome addition to the colour line-up

Can you still fit three sets of golf clubs in the boot?

I'm sure it's just good design, but the boot seems small

Haven't seen any Captivas with them yet. Thought I would have by now seeing as it's sold as a Chev overseas. Unlike VT-VZ commodores that aren't, but people still put badges on.
Back on topic, the more I look at the Calais V pics, the more I'm liking it. It's my pick so far, with dark interior. Waiting to see the SS, will check out the HSV's but none will be in my price range I'm thinking. I'll find out when the $$$$ numbers are released.
