    AMG Erebus shakedown

The team had completed a shakedown with its first Car of the Future chassis in Ford Falcon FG form last October. That car, converted into an E63, will serve as the team’s spare chassis when the season gets underway in Adelaide on March 1.

That's summed it up, chassis is open and its a shell and a motor... Should be interesting

Interesting. I thought that the car wasnt meant to be released until the the Clipsal Weekend( next week) because the road car hadnt been realised yet.

In regards to Betty I am going the reserve my judgement of her until at least half way through the season. I just have a feeling she is going to make the show about her and not the cars on the track, which I hope isn't going to be the case. I hope she lets the drivers and cars do all of the talking, but I just have a feeling from some interviews that she is going to want the spotlight (hope I am wrong)
    I'm not a hoon, I'm just competitive

Interesting you should think that, because I was thinking exactly the opposite.
If you look at most of the P.R. stuff to date, it's been Ryan Maddison (Is that his name?) that's been doing all the talking. I've actually been looking for stuff from her, & what came out yesterday, was the most I'd seen from her. It's usual to see Team Principals doing a fair bit of talking, but even after the Erebus win in the 12 hr, I never saw much from her.
Having said that, if I'd put in $20M, I reckon that I'd be entitled to say a few words.
There will be some huge challenges for this team...I wish them all the best.
    Cheers, Pickles.

Thumbs up Re: AMG Erebus shakedown

As an indication of the challenge & pressure that the new Manufacturers in the Series are under, I see Nissan has received special dispensation to provide only 2 cars at the test day....so the build on the other 2 can be completed!
I'm sure it'll all be worthwhile...Can't wait for Clipsal.
    Cheers, Pickles.
