Who really cares the FPV does? HSV outsell FPV nearly 3:1

The latest should be the greatest.

lol - this bogan bought an Audi.

Just as many bogans in nice German cars as there are in Fords/Commodores.

That's my point. FPV/HSV pricing themselves out of the market. If you are going to spend that money why buy a taxi?

In Europe, German cars are taxis and Holdens are exotic cars on the rare occasion they are spotted. Just a shame Australia is the only country that doesn't appreciate the Australian industry.

You sure about those figures Macca? Anyway without starting the same old argument again, Straight line grunt aside the HSV in this case is the better car; it stops better, it handles better, it is a helluva lot more ergonomic and comfortable to drive. Lets face it event the WOW in your face R-Spec got spanked by a 2 ton Chrysler around the track. Opinions are divided i know, FPV closed the gap for sure with the Coyote but it takes more than a nice set of tits to make it a real woman.... IMO, i have the pleasure and i do mean it of actually owning both and while i love the FPV for work everyday i still grab the lions keys on the weekends!

I have never actually seen one but when they say they are Mercedes, are they not a poverty pack, stripped out car designed just for taxi cab use? I don't think they are your standard issue, straight from the showroom Merc.

The ones I've ridden in were fully specced off the showroom floor.

Some markets may have a "taxi" model... but the many I've been in throughout Europe all looked to me to be full models.

Huh??? What large German sedan can be bought with 300+ KW and sub 5 second 0-100 for under 80K???

HSV/FPV products are more affordable now than they were 10 years ago.

It's no different in Sweden years ago when we used to get a taxi and a Volvo turns up we used to just call them the Swedish Torana

Just recently I test drove a new c63 coupe, and maybe I was expecting too much but I was left disappointed ,perhaps the refinement hid the feeling of real performance but It didn't have the grunt I expected, other than for the snob value there is no way I would pay the difference between it and a new HSV,it really amazes me when folks knock our local cars , they deserve much better
