Going stealth with a top mount supercharger. Is it possible?

As the title says, I'd like to find a way to hide my harrop top mount charger when the bonnet's opened. Is there anything available off the shelf, or even custom made, that people have tried? Cheers, Justin

maybe the harrop engine covers that suit the blower, but otherwise it would have to be custom made if u want it to go over top of the blower.

I was thinking of something similar to the turtle shell engine cover that comes with stock ls1's. The harrop covers don't seem to cover much, and the word "supercharged" isn't really what I want to be the first thing on show in the engine bay .

Any ideas of somewhere that could make custom engine covers?

I dont no anyone, but was thinking of the same idea for my MP1900 top mount, problem is u gotta make a mould that will not touch the blower but also clear the bonnet when its shut,

also gotta decide weather u want plastic, metal, fibreglass, carbon fibre etc... as heat soak will become an issue if u cover the whole thing.

Cheers for the info. Heat soak is something I've considered, but dealing with the hwp is a bigger concern for me. Material engineering isn't something I know much about, so I wouldn't know where to start there. If there's anyone out there in the know, I'm all ears.

i think if HWP look under the bonnet they can spot a blower/mods no matter what cover you have!

Is there a way you could adapt the standard turtle shell cover to fit some how ?

I just used the VZ split covers on my Harrop blower & had the bonnet popped a few time by the HWP with no problems.

I wouldn't be too concerned these days with HWP and blowers. There are quite a few around now and the boys in blue would know about places like Walkinshaw offering factory-style warranties on similar products with ADR approval. The Harrop covers look like factory anyway. If the paperwork for the blower is all in order, what's the worry?

Coming up to 8 years of Turbo LS1 goodness with Intercooler visible through the bumper cutouts.
    No issues.

    Relax, and enjoy the blower

Although a little expensive, a FDM (SLS or similar) print in Nylon <PA6/PA66> would be a good choice.
I designed some options a few years back but there was not much interest at the time.
Turbos are OK, but I prefer to be Oversize, Stroked & Blown!

Guess most people, when they pop the bonnet, want the world to know they have a blower fitted hey...

    I gotta agree.
