Why's using the 28GHz spectrum going to cost so much more?

Oh, I read it that they were working in the millimetre band at 28GHz, didn't think they also wanted 28GHz of spectrum space (even though the article used the word spectrum).

(I even moved the phoneline to the cupboard where all my hardware is - oops/naughty lol).

As others have said, the limitations of WiFi shit me, I do alot of online car sim gaming, so WiFi is out for that, just not stable enough. My house is an EMF Hive, running 3 x smartphones, 2 x iPads, Laptop, 2 x PC's (1 gaming and 1 media) 4 smart TV's and the PS3. If all that was meant to be on Wifi, well it wouldnt be on there would it!

I think my network from memory cost me a total of roughly $400 including the Belkin GB Switch & CAT6 jacks @ $11 when they first came out. No cabling licence here,.,.,

Now for the figures people are posting about when the NBN will be paid back, seriously, how the hell could you believe any figures this government has placed in front of you? They have proven time and time and time and time and time and time again that they simply cannot count to ten! ANY media put out by them including the "NBN Myths" website provided here is based on figures given by a government that has no idea about finances, makes for a good read, but how do you believe those figures when NOTHING else they (Gillard & Co) have rolled out has EVER been budgeted correctly? School Building Revolution, Insulation, NBN, the list goes on.

Hard to believe any number crunching that comes from that end of town.
Since I switched the wireless ac (5ghz) I've had no problems with wireless for playing iracing. Before that I had all matters of problems with wireless n. Still would prefer wired though.

Havent commented in this thread as honestly it is outside of my knowledge base and I dont care enough to learn but reading up on the latest budget i the news, found it interesting that labor have apparently reduced funds to this? So is this thread about pro NBN/labor V antiNBN/Libs a bit obsolete if labor reduce funding?

Smart decision, you live in a "safe" coalition seat (I think?) So you wont get the NBN for at least another 5 years, If im not mistaken Wagga isnt on the planned next three year rollout...

seems very absurb to me that someone would vote just because of the NBN, much much more things to worry about what a government can/will do than the speed of the internet.

Seems absurd to me that anyone would trust any promises from a political party regardless

well I've already been pretty vocal about my thoughts on Tony and Co, but this will ensure that I won't be sending preferences to the Coalition (implying that it will change anything given that both state and federal electorates I live in are FIRMLY Liberal/National.)

The opposition broadband spokesman type was here a week ago trying to spruik their alternative piece of shit, ironic given that those who are within Mildura itself can already get 100/8 through iiNet anyway.

    I stand ocrrected sir,
however, for your info (sure you already know) NBN is showing North Wagga as "under construction" (fineprint on that = Construction commenced relates to the phase of work in an area where contract instructions have been issued and our construction partners can commence work on detailed design and field inspections. It also refers to the date that NBN Co releases the rollout map for your area and signals the beginning of engagement with your local community and council.)
So still planning? Cnetral Wagga within one year and South within three.

Macca, what if these little cuts turn that 1 year into 5, and the 3 into 10?

They're already pulling cable. Seen it with me own eyes.

Cuts aren't related from what I've read. More so that nbnco didnt meet targets from last year hence didn't spend as much so revised accordingly for this budget.
