For people who are putting deposits on the GTS, which wing are you going for?
I usually don't like the large wings but the one on the new GTS really seems to suit it plus differentiates it from the other models.
No surprises, top end of the market has always done exceptionally well, W427 could be had for 90K, suspect a limited edition Grange, Senator, or Maloo with LSA hiding in the wings gauging from GTS response, the Big 3 are teaming up to use the 7 speed manual and 8 speed ZF, so its up to buyers whether they can wait for the discount cycle, some can as these are discretionary purchases, those wanting to be first on the road wont, they are after all fashion accessories, must be seen as trendy and having the latest and greatest to go with the gold chains and watches

How's that W427 investment going? Ouch!
Cloth seats on a $60k + car??
Yeah, the base Clubby really does seem a bit of a joke for $65k. You'd need to go to R8 or SV spec to make it worth doing; which is probably the point.

The W427 was always shockingly over-priced, although who knows what its value will do long-term. It's a very long term thing though!
They'll have to do something to make the base Clubsport more attractive. It offers very little over an SSV/SSV Redline and is deficient compared to those cars in some areas. With the LT1 it will be more attractive. I think you'll find it won't take long for them to discount them or add a leather pack.

Sorry, I meant when the HSVs get the LT1, not sure if the Holdens will.
Rumour is sometime around 2014.

The poverty pack stops complaints about entry level prices and gets bodies through the door but I don’t believe HSV is serious about their sale potential.
The whole idea is to sell the higher ticketed items where the mark-ups are much more profitable.
The poverty pack would be better if it was a whole lot lighter.
I agree the cheaper HSV doesn’t look great against the Redline SSV but in IMHO a cheaper poverty HSV is still in front of the Holden.
If you want a laugh, jump on the Chevy US website and see what $100k will get you.
According to Wheels magazine, the GTS engine oil cooler comes from the Corvette ZR1 LS9. It is an oil-coolant heat exchanger that bolts to the side of the oil pan with a couple of coolant hoses attached. Plenty of pics on the interweb if youit.
