Money where your mouth is John.

As much performance as your old c63 for a 100k.

It won't go over, or at least I hope not. I do see your point though.

Now stop writing crap on here and go put a deposit down. Add the gen f to the long list of cars you have had.

Can figures from HSV ever be taken as official?

Will have to see when the motoring press put the car through its paces, who knows what tricks and cards up sleeves they will use to get the best times

    Re: Supercharged HSV?

I think HSV is just referring to ZL1 times as they know it is much quicker with bigger rear tyres.

Lots of talk aboutCamaro ZL1, but the LSA engine was used before this in the Cadillac CTS-V (Coupe & Sedan), a VERY quick car, & seen by some in the U.S.A. as competition to the C63, M5 etc.
    Cheers, Pickles.

Camaro used as it has same output as GTS (and drivetrain).

    Ctsv has lower output.

With the extra engineering over a base LS car, what with all the heat exchangers, tougher diff etc, surely the new GTS will be a more reliable track car than the FPV or 'lesser' Holden/HSV?

Trams in FPV is brilliant. We know FPV sc gt makes more than 335. Lots more.

I don't know how much quicker the GTS will be. With a badged 95kw more, it would want to be quicker.

The fact that there are no official times yet is either a good thing or a bad thing.

The GTS won't be officially released until late August. Let's see what it can do.

Oh, and I am not interested in track times. Means nothing to me. I want to see 0-100, 1/4 mile, 80-120 and mph on 1/4.

I haven't tracked a car since my modified vy clubbie, but all of my cars have had many trips down the 1/4.

12.5 at 114 completely stock is what my gt ran. That's my yard stick.

I will personally be more interested in private owners times and not the magazine times.

I think all things considered the A6 GTS will see very low 12s (say 12.1 @ around 117mph) on the standard tyres. It shares the same weight as the ZL1 and also same driveline on the same platform (designed in Aus). Aerodynamic drag is said to be significantly lower in VF than both Camaro and VE. Faster times will depend on the gearbox effectively putting the power down and shifting seamlessly and quickly.

    Re: Supercharged HSV?

If you are paying a 100k for a 430kw fastest and most powerful Holden ever then it goes without saying, it needs to be fast.

At 430kw it needs to be significantly faster than an advertised 335kw car.

Not to be would be robbing the customer and will be laughed at by the owners of other performance brands.
    All talk and no action.

It would need to run low 12’s and a very low or sub 4 seconds to 100km/h before it would be considered fast by the many that can and would be interested in dropping 100K on a car let alone a Commodore.
Hopefully HSV have sorted the car so it can get its power to the ground and be fast and not just a high dyno figure.

A high 4 sec to 100 for 100K out of 430kw wouldn’t compute for me.
