Country is going down the gurgler, no thanks to the cost of living driving up wages driving up manufacturing costs driving up cost of living. Wife just got a letter saying the cost of life insurance on her super policy has gone from $3.00 to over $4.00. Not a huge cost in the scheme of things however a huge rise compared with CPI. I am finding this sort of rise in insurance across the board too. House, car, liability, have just been told my homeowners warranty insurance premiums are about to rise 25% too pushing the cost of construction/renovation up around the country too. Where does it end? Fat company profits due to gouging and cutting back seems to be 'where it's at' at the moment.
Sad day for Australia indeed, and i feel sorry for all those who are/will be affected by this directly and those suppliers who will be affected also.
RIP Manufacturing in Australia
