Good point Nick! I take it that's stock too?
I think a nice cat back would be all I'd do to the GTS.

Very true ... it's just the one thing I find disappointing about them, every HSV I have ever owned (6 so far) have needed aftermarket work to get a really nice exhaust sound.
I'm pretty happy with the bi-modal, it sounds good on start up and sounds great when it's open ... but 3,500 rpm on public roads in these cars doesn't happen very often! I wish there was an option to leave it open.
C63 on the other hand ... I will NEVER tire of that exhaust note. No one believed me but getting close to 3 years old now and it's still completely stock!
DENY YOURSELF NOTHING !!!
Spot on jk. Did it to the sc gt at the dealership.
That video makes the GTS sound better than it does. The gt sounds brilliant for a stock car. Not c63 good but bloody close. And the blip between gears (auto) is Lamborghini like.
If that's the most we can find to complain about on the GTS thus far, then they have done ok.
As vulture would say, first world problems.
C63 is nice but the SLS sound is my fave![]()
I've not been on for a awhile... been a few years to be honest. I kind of lost interest after I had to sell my Vy SS ute for the birth of our first child. Needed a family car blar blar... Anyway's I've been missing the V8, the note and the love of a car as I don't love my Lexus. It's a nice car and all but I just don't love it like I did my ute. I'm up for a new car and now the kids are older no need for a babe seat ect ect...
I've been looking for a new car for a while checking out mercs and bmw's but really they just cost way to much here in Australia. honestly its beyond a joke that some of these cars asking price is and then I discovered that the new HSV GTS is coming out with a supercharger! Oh we have only wanted this for ever HSV!! I like the front... it reminds me of the Merc C63 in a way but is defiantly a HSV. I love the interior, its a massive step in the right direction. The back is a little meh for me but hey who's looking at that when your driving it yeah? I would have liked to see the option for HID headlights? why are they not an option? If I buy one then maybe this will be my first mod?? I've heard that I'll be pushing just over the $100,000 price but really I think this might be worth it. Has anyone here pre-ordered a GTS? I'm seriously thinking about it.

Welcome back. Some 200 odd people have put down a deposit for one.
I'm excited to see how they do at the track given that there are plenty of hints that the car has been developed to be able to handle some abuse.
Might be more than a three lap special by the sounds of it. Latest wheels talks about how the Cadillac CTS-V was, until recently, the fastest production 4 door on street tyres to lap the 'ring. HSV is lighter, has more power and much bigger brakes. It's going to be quick!
