That's the only example I can find in black. Quick glimpse from the promo vid.

    It looks brilliant to me.

Acceleration will be limited by traction only. It is pretty hard to get a large heavy two wheel drive road car to grip off the line. The tyres and suspension are all set up for all round performance not just drag racing so I imagine that mid 4 second range in a standard Wheels style test is about all that can be expected. I am sure that a few will find the strip with slicks and better that easily but Wheels will time it with road tyres and pressures. Where the car will really shine will be high speed acceleration. Unfortunately there are no autobahns in Australia to allow us to really enjoy that part of it.

Awesome Simon, you're gonna love this car.
I was talking to a friend of mine from HSV, orders are rolling in.....and no-one's even driven one yet. Everything's going to plan....there's some "sensationalist" press about "delays" etc, but that's nothing new, it was always gonna be a couple of months later than the rest of the range.
As there have been so many "pre orders", I asked the question as to when Dealers would have a Demo for people to drive?....The answer was ..."Good Question"!!
    Cheers, Pickles.

Thanks Pickles. Seems it might be hard to get a drive of one. My salesman thinks the only way will be for one of the buyers to let him have a spin.
Always a risk buying something without having driven it (think this is a first for me) but I think it will deliver. Wish I could afford the AMG as well but not this time around. I'm going to the VF official release at my dealer on July 10th, they tell me the HSVs will hopefully be there (minus GTS). Looking forward to seeing the other models and whetting my appetite for the big one.

Re: Supercharged HSV? - Part 2

Do you guys think this link is accurate?? Perhaps the dyno reads low? Regardless of whether it reads low or not though, the gains are not what i'd expect? Considering a tune only GT is picking up 30-50kw... Will be interesting if it is very similar to what the HSV's pump out...

    Re: Supercharged HSV?

that's what i was thinking? even with drive train losses etc, i'd expect at least 300-320rwkw? We all know that dyno's are a tool etc etc, but even the gain doesn't seem all that big? Perhaps it's not the LSA in that particular car?

    Re: Supercharged HSV?

    look like a leaf?

Surely the LSA would have to put out more than 290rwkw? and gain a lot more than a touch over 300 with a tune?

    Re: Supercharged HSV?

I was expecting 330 stock and 360 after a tune. Any less is embarrassing.
