It was also nice how the ve had different headlights for the ssv, made it that bit more special. I think these headlights are the same throughout the vf range. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'd still buy one, its gonna be an ssv wagon for me soon to drive around the puppies
The VE range had the same headlights throughout the models, only the Calais and SSV gained the projector lights but still retained the same housing.

I've seen it at my local dealer on a SS. It is grey, gray and more grae. Literally the 50 shades of grey car. Doesn't look bad though, but not my choice.

It has more a fleck of gold than green in my opinion.

I remember my Nissan Bluebird SSS had a HUD and the windscreen had a special area that the image projected onto that looked very different to the rest of the windscreen. Replacements were also genuine only and costly.
Since having owned this car in the early 90's I have questioned why car makers haven't done this since as I loved it, your eyes never had to shift from the road to know the important stuff like speed and any alerts.

Isn't that because genuine ones are a forged wheel as well?

The interior is amazing and so different to VE. I couldn't see the HUD unless I ducked down a little bit in the seat. That was more to do with the seat height adjustment which I played with. My head didn't touch the sunroof especially when I dropped the seat into the driving height I would be comfortable with.

The seat colour was grey with cream suede stripe. Not sure how long the cream suede stripe would stay "cream" for. They had a Calais wagon press car which has the same combination and the suede strip looked very dirty already. I am going cream leather with the grey suede in my Calais V so may be a better combination as I am getting the leather treated with OptiGuard.

Overall I was happy with the finish and cant wait to get mine. This Calais V was a V6 so cant comment on the exhaust note. It was the same colour as the SSV above which is Prussian Steel. TBH I am not a fan of it but each to their own.

They had a Regal Peacock (I think it is called) Green SSV there. That is a very nice colour to me !!!

Also checked out a silver SV R8, silver Clubsport and red Maloo. These had just arrived and still covered with stickers and plastic.

I have many photos which I will post soon once I can upload them.

Which Zupps, I'll have to head around and have a look at the HSVs!

Mt Gravatt..not sure if you know it but there is a 2 storey carpark at the rear, these HSV's were in the underneath section. I just wondered around to see what stock they had in...

I went down to my local dealer today and they had a prussian steel which looked more green in the bright sunshine.
When it clouded up it was a darker silver and lost it's green.

I like the darker tail lights that are on the Redline and Calais over the bright red ones on the other models.

Great, thanks. Yes, bought my E1 GTS from there (still one of the best looking HSVs ever I think).
I might swing by on the weekend and take a gander.
    Hopefully Aspley have some too.

Spoiler on the Calais is horrible. I quite like the Prussian. Might go that in a wagon.
