Does anyone know what cars Mackay Holden has in store at the moment?

Seems it's more of an HSV problem

In my opinion if you can sell a car with only a small profit you bloody well sell it, the next and/or the previous people have already paid retail for theirs. Very frustrating dealing with HSV today. Like i said they are on a big high at the moment with cars selling before they hit the lot but that'll soon stop and they're to bloody ignorant to realise!

Other than that every time i spend time in one of the variants i'm even more impressed. Not a fan of the cream highlights in the Redline/Calais interior but other than that it's very good. I paid particular attention to fit and finish today and must say out of the 10 or so variants i looked at i only found one minor thing, the headlight on one was slightly off and as someone mentioned elsewhere you could see into the engine bay.
Pretty simple economics. Google "early adopter" you'll learn a lot.

Had my first proper look at a vf S'S tonight very very impressed. Going back on Saturday to drive it and have a bit of a play.

Hopefully I can get the dollars to stack and upgrade.

Seems indeed. Dropped off the Mrs car for a service and had a look around the dealer. No staff so took my time. VF's look good fit and finish. The gen f has some rear bumper issues on the corners. They stick out and doesn't look great.

So does that mean what you see is what you get with the Gen F's ?

I wouldn't pay for a gen f if I got it like that. Harder to tell on the darker colors. More noticeable on the lighter colors. when you know it's there your eye seems to always go there as well. I'm sure they will fix it but up to potential clients to also make it known to them that is not great

What a pain in the ass if you pick up your car and then you have to bring it back to get sorted...Quality Control ring a bell ???

Re: VF Commodore revealed - Official details and pics- Part 2

After seeing the pics in this thread I dropped in to the dealer I am buying my GTS from to have a close look at the R8s. None of the three (including one base Clubbie) had the same issue around the light. I printed out the picture and had a really good look. The fit and finish was fine. I then went for a drive in the SV. It sounds way better than the bimodal E2/E3. Obviously it isn't an AMG but it does sound nice and meaty and throaty. I was quite surprised. It also seemed to have about as much stick as ummmm an R8 I know that has a bit of work and a tune. Losing the power steering pump does liberate a few kW but also the tune seems to give the engine more punch off the mark. Quite impressed to be honest and I don't doubt the numbers in the Wheels mag. Interior is great and I agree the extra gauges are tacky and cheap looking and the binnacle that holds them is a bit meh. Following up jk's comments about the SV wheel colour there seems to be a bit of purple in the mix and it isn't a straight match for the bootlid spoiler so despite HSV saying these are the same colour they aren't though in poor light like last Sunday it was hard to tell the difference; yesterday I was looking under fluoros so it was obvious. Still ok but not what I had expected.

I have read and the pics seem to show that the R8 SV seats are the same foams and trim as the GTS can anyone comment on that? Seats were good just surprised if this is the case.

I'm seriously thinking of the GTS now to as oppose to the SSV redline. As for those gauges sounds like they will have to be junked and a suitable replacement found maybe some Stack gauges
