I call the SV wheels BBS style because those were the first rims I saw of that style on a BMW. I really like that style of rim. The HSV version is a bit chunky compared to the finer BBS spokes but I like them. I know I haven't seen the GTS specific wheel but I would forever see the triangles and hate them. With my E2 I didn't like the factory 19s but was too late changing the spec, so I sold those with 26km on the tyres and then put the W427 wheels on. I really like the 427 wheels and it makes my E2 a bit different. The guy at Zupps commented on the wheels and Walky spoiler when we were talking about the R8 SV so I'm not the only one who thinks it looks better.
    Can't argue with that!

Just watched the latest HSV AD and OMG I hope the GTS sounds like it does on the video! It sounded horn!

Not sure if this has been posted but it gives an idea of the LSA whine

Thanks to the shiny floor at the local HSV dealer, I got a look at the 340kw exhaust. Not a great photo, but shows enough including the x-pipe. It may be 2.5" all the way but I couldn't say for certain. The rear flanges where the mufflers bolt up are now a different type. Unfortunately I didn't get to look under the bonnet but will have to check out the bi-modal intake another time. If it can be seen easily.

Stolen from another forum, thought it may be of interest.

"John Bowe is at Winton today doing a comparison test between the new GTS and a AMG C3 with Unique Cars magazine and Motor Magazine... ...Interestingly, the lap times were within 1/10th of each other."

Above comments taken from John Bowe's facebook page.

Official embargo for GTS ends on 2/08/13.

One thing I don't get is the contrasting roof lining and pillar colour, why is this a light colour? I understand it will give a sense of light and space so appear more roomy, but I much prefer the all black as in the ve GTS as I think it gives a more sportier and angrier feel to the car and if you've bought an HSV, particularly GTS, I don't think you are after a fawn colour from the shoulder up. Am I missing something with this? Interested in the view of those that have seen them?

    Great photo.

Holden introduced undercarriage aero panels on the VE2 to lower drag and improve high speed stability and fuel economy as per the Euros.
Has this been dropped with the new VF?

    A photo of the VE2.

    .
I'm sure they'll make another appearance on the Series II, probably just leaving some room to move in the economy stakes.

One would assume little has changed underneath from VEII to VF so the VEII stuff should fit?

Seems an odd omission if the panels fit, I know they were going for the weight loss headline but surely these panels weigh bugger all. Really if the panels do improve economy to the extent touted then they should be fitted?
