    weld prostar owners help..

    Hi guys,

Looked at some weld prostars with slicks and front runners on the weekend but we couldnt figure out what size the rear rims are?? could anyone tell me??

We have checked the rims and there dosnt seem to be any markings on them at all? They have a 26 x 8.5 inch MT slick and sit in the guard perfectly. Because of the width of the slick im assuming there an 8 with a 5.5 inch backspace as there were purchased quite some time ago and think it would have been before they started making them in the 6.5 BS. But iv read a lot of people saying an 8 inch with the 5.5 wont fit under a sedan??

Not a big deal, would prefer 8s so i can go a larger tyre later if needed..

    cheers

without removing tyre get a couple of straight edges the width of the rim !!! the width of the rim is measured at the beads but overall adds an inch !!! I know this cause my 8s measure 9 inch overall !!! use straight edges if rim measures 8 inch overall there 7 inch rims 9=8 etc basically the lip adds 1/2 inch each side !! now measure from face that bolts onto hub of car to the inside of rim overall using straight edge again this measurement is overall including the 1/2 inch bead section !!! this is the backspace !!!! my guess is they are 15 x 7 with 5.5 inch backspace !!! hope that makes some sense !!! cheers
