So the wife lost her sh!t today and called Holden Customer Service ..... the facts:

3rd July - We placed the order with Holden
18th July - The dealership submitted the order with Holden
24th September - Estimated delivery date

Car has not started being built and the CS person have never heard of constraints due to an audio upgrade?

This happened to me with the first dealer I went to.

12th July - placed order with dealer
every week since - I called to see where it was at
15th August - received GMON number from dealer and called holden CS to get more info ans was told dealer submitted order to holden on 12th August.

Dealer had promised delivery mid september, Holden CS said mid to late October, called dealer and told them to give me my deposit back because they won't be able to deliver their end of the contract.

Got deposit back and went to another dealer that had one in stock.

Why did it take the dealer so long to submit the order?

The dealer I went through said the delay was because they can't just order 1 car, they have to bulk order them. I don't know how true this is, but waiting a whole month before submitting my order really pissed me off.

I still haven't even driven a VF as yet . I'm sure ill be happy with it . Plus the MOST important thing is the mrs loves it so win win .

Finally took delivery of my car today.

Drove it all afternoon and evening after delivery.

As much as I want to call the dealership and rip them a new one for A. Delaying the order and, B. Lying to me its complicated as the salesmen is my ex's brother and he was trying to do me a favour. Having known him for over 10 years I'm going to assume he's been feed porkies by the Stock Manager and isn't lying to me but ya never know? I doubt its the sales staff who place the build orders?

Just a reminder for any Vic VF owners I currently own VF-001 plates which could be prised from my grasp, especially by wealthy GTS owners, with a suitable application of folding stuff!

Nope but we got it when the wife rang Holden Customer Service.

I can now call them any time I like to see the progress, or lack there of, and get updates on the delivery

during the order process, once the month was confirmed did you get a build number for your car?

I rang my holder dealer today to get a update as my delivery date was the 26th august and am now being told
its now 11th September

a bit annoyed but there is nothing I can do

just got a call today , car has a arrived, just go's to show the dates aren't always correct, not that I am complaining
I pick it up on the weekend, cant wait
