Walkinshaw Performance - The W375 Package

Just came across this on the Walkinshaw Performance page, do we know anything more about what they're doing to get 375kw N/A?

    The W375 package
As the name suggests, the W375 package offers Gen F owners a stonking 375kW of power and 676Nm of torque.

The W375 package offers a new level of performance and drivability for the already high performance HSV LS3 range, and yet again backed by WP’s legendary driveline warranty that gives you complete peace of mind for the life of the standard manufacturer warranty.

Re: Walkinshaw Performance - The W375 Package

Amazing what you find when you look ....

After launching the hugely successful W310 package for the Holden VF SS Commodore, Australia’s leading performance house Walkinshaw Performance is proud to announce the second product package in the 2013 W Series .

Today we are launching an all new naturally aspirated performance package for Gen-F HSV vehicles with The W375.

Walkinshaw Performance General Manager Tony Harris: “Our sister company HSV have delivered an incredible vehicle straight out of the box. But for those who want more, our W375 package offers the best naturally aspirated drivability result imaginable. This package puts you in serious European sports car power territory while costing a fraction of the European price. We think the W375 represents terrific value.”

    Included in the W375 package*:
    • Walkinshaw Performance Ceramic Coated Headers, matched with;
    • High Flow Catalytic Converters.
    • Unique Walkinshaw Performance Stainless Steel Cat Back Exhaust System. (Featuring added growl!)
    • Walkinshaw Performance OTR Cold Air Intake.
    • Custom ECU recalibration developed on Walkinshaw Performance’s dynamometer.
    • W375 Build Plate and Rear Deck Lid Badging.
    • Walkinshaw Performance Driveline Warranty.

With a recommended RRP of $6,495 the new W375 package offers phenomenal value for money on the already awesome HSV Gen F Clubsport, R8, Maloo and Tourer.

*Please note the wrap featured on this vehicle is not included in the price. Wrap information and options are available on demand.

You misinterpreted what I said. It makes no difference if you start with 317, 325, 340. The result will be the same.

Depends if A6 or M6 but it can be argued that add around 25% to get a fwkw figure, so 297rwkw = around 370fwkw give or take.

I do tend to agree with you that WP stuff is quite expensive for what you actually get (typically rebranded gear at a premium price). Sounds like they're at least now doing custom dyno tuning there because I had it on very good authority that their VE tunes were ultra safe basically mail order tunes plonked into every car, no customisation at all.

I'm also with JK that I wouldn't want to pay $6.5k on a Gen F SV R8 to only gain 35fwkw i.e. less than 30rwkw! On a 317kw Gen F maybe it would be OK.

I wonder if you have a model with the bimodal exhaust whether the replacement exhaust is also a bimodal because to me that's one of the selling points of a VE E2/E3 GTS or Gen F SV with a road legal bimodal exhaust which passed noise regs but which still roars at the right rpm. No good putting for example a bimodal exhaust on a car which didn't come from the factory with it eg a normal VE or VF because it's still technically illegal. Similarly, from the opposite point of view I wouldn't want to go from a legal bimodal system to a non bimodal which would have to be (IMHO) either illegal or too quiet............

Re: Walkinshaw Performance - The W375 Package

Thats really a great package price, basically stock ls7 performance. But for around 8k usd shipped, I can have a whole brand new oem bolt-in lsa kit installed. Alas, no warantee.

Full stainless exhaust, OTR and tune for 3K? Other than X-Force, where do I find such a deal?

Yes, the result will be the same, but if you're paying 6500 for a 35kW gain, it doesn't seem like very good value for money does it? Compared to the guy that got 60kW for the same price!
