If your going to compare to the gt here are some points you may wish to consider
Oil pump still retains sintered gears much like the xr6 turbo and as such they are a common failure
If you have an issue with the engine itself they run a special lining gives you max 10 thou if don't clean up new block
Tailshaft very thin full of cardboard and the ends are butt welded there is little to no strength in them.
Have fitted an intercooler fuel system boost pulley and overdriven balancer to one yes makes good power got 418rwkw forget the torque numbers and twisted the hell out of the shaft the owner was not at the track and was doing skids on the street....
For comparison fit cam fuel system and 2300 blower to a VE hsv ls3 make 670rwhp and over 1000nm of torque and no issues with tailshaft

There is no comparison between the cars IMHO it is a blown v8 with 4 cams and 4 valves per cylinder I would expect no less but the rest if the car is rubbish very poorly done in my opinion same diff same diff bush as carried since BA.

Agree Pete the rest of the drivetrain behind the gearbox should get attention if playing in this scene. But it's still a performance bargain as if all you wanted was a fast car that looks stock you could get a GS for mid 30's spend 10 on it and have a damm fast car

Interesting, this GT only got 252rwkw stock and 330rwkw once tuned, why is there such a big difference between the two?

Because they're so heavily detuned from the factory.
Honestly, 450rwhp is the minimum I would expect from any modern boosted V8. It's not big power for these motors with a few PSI shoved up them. They could have easily sold them as a 400+kW motor but the driveline wouldn't cope. The motor itself has no issue, but like the guys are saying, the tailshaft and diff are weak links. Compare what the Fords run to the GTS

I probably should have worded it better, but I was referring to the difference between the GT in the video I posted only got 252rwkw stock, while the link macca_779 posted had the GT with 330rwkw stock.

Dunno ask VCM what's wrong with their dyno

That's less than a stock ls3. I've seen a stock GT run a 12.5. Ain't no way they only have 250rwkw. Something is up there.
